A Huge Thank You from Grand Lake FOP Lodge!

We are proud to share the incredible success of the Grove Public School Food Drives— thanks to the compassion and generosity of our amazing community, over 2,000 pounds of food was collected and delivered to the Grove Food Pantry!

Your support means the world to the families who will benefit from these donations. This effort truly showcased the heart of Grove — neighbors coming together to make a difference.

We’re honored to have played a part and we’re inspired by the students, families, and staff who made this possible. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue lifting each other up!

Dear Community Members,

The Social Studies classes at Grove High School, in partnership with the Grand Lake Fraternal Order of Police, are proud to launch a one school week Community Food Drive from November 3 through November 7. As part of their studies, students have been exploring the impact of the recent government shutdown—not only on our nation, but also on the lives of families in our own community.

Moved by what they’ve learned, our students are taking action. This food drive is a meaningful step toward helping those affected by food insecurity, and it reflects the values of civic responsibility and compassion. With the support of the Grand Lake FOP, we aim to make a real difference—and we invite you to be part of it. Let’s come together to make sure everyone has food during these trying times. Your support—whether through donations or spreading the word—can help ensure no one in our community goes without.

Delaware County First Responders have teamed up in an effort to make sure every child in Delaware county has gifts during the Christmas season this year.
Rick Pike, Jay Police Chief, and Chairman of Delaware County Shop with a Cop stated in Christmas 2023. Shop with a Cop provided gifts for 317 Delaware county children, raising around $50,000.00 dollars.
This year Shop with a Cop partnered with DCCSAN and First Responders from across Delaware County to try and insure no child goes without Christmas gifts this year.

If you want your child, or children, to participate in this program you must fill out an application and turn it in before December the 6th, 2024 by 5pm.
You can fill out the application on line or pick up an application at any of the participating Police Departments listed below:

Jay Police Department
Kansas Police Department
Colcord Police Department
West Siloam Springs Police Department
Grove Police Department

We ask anyone who can to donate to the Shop with a Cop program and help us make sure every child has gifts under their tree this year.

An account has been set up at Grand Savings Bank, you can donate by going by Grand Savings Bank in Grove or Jay and tell them you wish to make a donation to the Shop with a Cop Program. You can also drop donations off at a participating Police Department. You can also use a link on the DCCSAN website to donate or download an application.

The children will meet up with the First Responders at an assigned time at the Grove Walmart on December 18th or 19th and shop for their gifts with a first responder.

Great Job GMS!!!

Amazing!!! GMS, with only 2 grades, collected 616 items for the FOP Thanksgiving Food Drive! GMS Stuco organized this effort at the middle school, and our students were responsible for bringing canned yams and stuffing mix. We are so proud of our students, staff, and community members for helping with this service project.

We are excited to announce our upcoming 2024 Thanksgiving Food Drive!!
The Grand Lake FOP Lodge is collaborating with Grove Public Schools to help collect enough food items to make Thanksgiving baskets! At the completion of the drive, all baskets will be donated to the Food Pantry of Grove so they can be distributed to families in need this Thanksgiving. Last year, we were able to make 165 baskets! Help up meet our goal of 250 baskets this year!!

Starting October 1st, we will be placing collection boxes at each G.P.S. Campus. Each campus will be collecting a specific item type. Please refer to flyer pictured below for additional details.

Last year we received several messages asking if items could be donated if they did not have children in school. Absolutely!! We will have a collection box at the Grove Police Department (11 E. 3rd St. Grove, OK) for these donations.
