It’s going to take a moment to process the beautiful landscape that was Greenville University Homecoming & Family Weekend 2026. 🧡🐾🌿 These images offer just a glimpse of the goodness.

God gifted us with amazing attendance, amazing weather, amazing food and the amazing interactions bound to take place throughout our community under these amazing conditions. We are so, so grateful for every alum, every student, every faculty and staff, every family member, every community organization, and every friend who contributed to this rich ivy-linked community we have here. 🌿

Over the next couple of weeks, we will share lots of posts from official GU and alumni socials, alongside some of our own candid moments, so stay tuned for the full retelling and remembering of the beautiful ways God showed up in the Ville this past weekend. 🧡

“Sara ((Zimmer ’00) Otey) remembers former President Robert E. ‘Ish’ Smith's emphasis on servant leadership and said that philosophy continues to influence how the couple treats employees and customers.

Their liberal arts education taught (her and Steve ‘99) to think critically, keep learning, and approach unfamiliar challenges without being intimidated.

‘When you’re an entrepreneur, you’re actually simply a problem solver,’ Sara said. ‘Greenville taught us how to be problem solvers and to better our world.’”

One idea to bring a youth group together became a game played around the world! 🧡

Steve Otey ’99 and Sara “Zimmer” Otey ’00 never expected to become entrepreneurs. Today, their company, 9 Square in the Air, helps millions of people connect through play all while keeping community and service at its heart.
