GU in Greece 🇬🇷 GU is on the move through some of their final shops in this beautiful country. ☀️ and friends saw the island of Patmos; spent time in Phillipi at the prison where Paul and Silus were kept and where Lydia was baptized: shared communion, lead by one of the travelers; celebrated the Chisms’ 58th anniversary; and visited the active hanging monasteries of Meteora.

Thankful for the long legacy of gathering alumni reflected in the lives of the next generation of Tidballs and Strahls (see pic of Judy (Strahl) Keffer ’77 and Todd Tidball ’85). Still abide the memories.  🧡🐾🌿

The gift of spending time with our FMC family 🧡🐾🌿 … Tour de FMC 2026 continues @ Crossroads Annual Conference in Mooresville, IN. GU folks were everywhere, leading and speaking, being ordained and becoming reconnected. 🥰

Led by Superintendent (and GU alum) Jen (Nead) Finley ’98, the newly-named Crossroads Conference houses the former Wabash and New South (KY/TN) conference churches. Gateway Conference, the conference housing GU and most of IL-STL FMC churches, has entered into a relationship with Crossroads with the expectation of merging into one conference. (And, yes, I through in an unpublished pic with GU alumni board chair, Jeff Finley ’96, and Jen from Gateway AC because we didn’t get one at Crossroads AC. 😁 Thankful to do ministry with these two!)

The last pic is a departing nod from this natural-born Hoosier in celebration of National Champion IU football with a gift from Tim Burkhart. ❤️🏈🎉

GU in Greece 🧡🌿🇬🇷 They’re off! After a successful overseas journey, 22 GU alumni and friends gathered in Corinth to follow our hosts Todd and Sue Tidball in the footsteps of Paul.

Todd reports … “The trip is exceeding expectations. Great weather. Walking in Ephesus, literally in Paul’s footsteps, is indescribable. Sue and I commented about Paul’s boldness in presenting the gospel to the point of having to flee for his safety.

A guide yesterday said, ‘How many years have you been traveling together?’ She was impressed with our friendliness and cohesiveness. ‘It’s our first trip’ was my answer.”

Bon Voyage and friends! 🧳 And for the rest of us, stay tuned for more stories “from the field.” 🧡
