VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🙌🏾

Want to make a real difference in someone’s career journey? Join Koinonia Community Solutions (KCS) as a volunteer for the Level Up Career Bootcamp!

This is an interactive, hands-on job-readiness workshop where volunteers will work directly with participants to help them:

✨ Strengthen their resumes
🎤 Practice their elevator pitches
💼 Prepare for interviews
🤝 Build confidence communicating with employers
🧭 Navigate the workshop and connect with resources

We’re looking for volunteers to support stations including Welcome & Registration, Resume Review, Interview Preparation, Employer Engagement, Participant Flow, Food & Refreshments, and Exit/Resources.

Koinonia Community Solutions (KCS), in collaboration with the A New Direction Local Reentry Council, is looking for volunteers to support our upcoming Expungement Clinic on Thursday, September 17!

We need volunteers to help with check-in, participant flow, hospitality, resource navigation, and more.

✨ No legal experience is required! All we need is a willingness to serve, encourage, and help create a welcoming experience for our community.

⚖️ FREE EXPUNCTION CLINIC — KNOW YOUR OPTIONS.

Koinonia Community Solutions, A New Direction Local Reentry Council (ANDLRC), and Legal Aid of North Carolina are coming together to provide a FREE Expunction Clinic on September 17, 2026 in Greenville!

This clinic gives individuals an opportunity to meet with an attorney to review their North Carolina criminal record and learn whether anything may be eligible for removal. If applicable, attendees may receive expunction petitions that day.

⏰ Multiple appointment times available

🚨 Registration is required. Walk-ins will not be served.

A brief screening will take place at the beginning of each meeting, and legal advice will only be provided to individuals who qualify for Legal Aid services.

Celebrating Leadership. Investing in Impact.

Koinonia Community Solutions is proud to celebrate our Executive Director, Watsi M. Sutton, on her graduation from the Launch Carolinas Leadership Accelerator Program!

Selected as one of just 12 nonprofit leaders from more than 200 applicants, Watsi spent 10 months strengthening her leadership practice, expanding her network, and engaging in strategic and systems-level thinking about the future of KCS and the communities we serve.

This experience has already created meaningful impact for KCS, including significant organizational funding to date, with the potential for additional funding over the next two years.

We're grateful to The Anonymous Trust, The Duke Endowment, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, and the other Launch Carolinas philanthropic partners for investing in nonprofit leadership and the organizations serving communities across the Carolinas.

Most importantly, we are incredibly proud of Watsi and this well-earned accomplishment! 👏🏾💚
