Last week a family hero stepped up, helping us complete all three of our mobile pantry deliveries.

Tito, the father of our Program Director, Kim Gaskins, heard we needed an extra hand and jumped right in. We're so grateful to Kim and Tito for their joint commitment to our mission of providing help and creating hope!

Happy National Catholic Schools Week everyone! β›ͺπŸŽ’πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ“

As if our usual warehouse crew couldn't get any better.... today it did!

This morning, we were joined by the wonderful students from St. Peter Catholic School Greenville, that helped with all thing's food pantry!

Students helped us sort, pack, and distribute food to take care of our neighbors in need during these colder months. Thank you, St. Peter's and Catholic Community of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother for this wonderful partnership!

As the year concludes, many of us reflect on what truly matters. For our many of our neighbors, holding on to hope matters most as rising costs stretch already limited resources.

Through the Hope in Action Campaign, generosity helps nourish families, support recovery after disaster, and guide individuals navigating complex immigration challenges.

There is still time to act. A year-end gift delivers help when it is needed most and carries hope into the year ahead.

As the year comes to an end, we recognize the hard work of our staff and volunteers who support our community all year long.

To give our team time to rest and spend the holidays with loved ones, Catholic Charities offices will be closed from December 24, 2025 through January 4, 2026. We will reopen and return to regular hours on January 5, 2026.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to starting the new year rested and ready to continue serving our community with care and compassion.

This is what being wrapped with love looks like in the Tar River region. πŸŽπŸ’œ

A heartfelt thank you to our local dental organizations that made our Smile Bags come together, Ross Orthodontists, Michael and Gauquie, and Practicon. We received book donations from Barnes and Noble and toy donations from Toys for Tots. And as always, thank you to our dedicated volunteers and staff, as well as the St. Gabriel Youth, for making Wrapped with Love a true celebration of generosity all week long.

Because of this support, the giving season is filled with connection, compassion, and community that shows up when it matters most.

Big cheers to our friends at the Greenville Barnes & Noble!πŸ“šπŸŽ

One of the highlights of our annual Wrapped with Love (WwL) event is giving kids the joy of reading through Barnes & Noble's gift cards. But this year, the Greenville B&N went above and beyond. In addition to our usual gift cards, they donated approximately $500 worth of new books and toys.

Every year we are grateful for our local collaborations that make this event possible.
