Horizons of Pitt County is an affiliate of Horizons National whose purpose is to provide a summer learning experience to help prevent the "summer slide.”

Yesterday, Ironwood Golf & Country Club was more than a golf course. It was a statement.

The inaugural Beyond the Horizons Golf Tournament brought our community together on June 4, 2026, in support of Horizons of Pitt County – the tuition-free program building academic skills, confidence, and futures for under-resourced students right here in Pitt County.

To every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, and donor who made yesterday possible: THANK YOU. You proved that this community goes to bat – and hits the fairway – for our kids.

The horizons of these students just got a little wider. We’ll see you next year.
