💙🐾 KEIKO STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP! 🐾💙

We have some exciting news about our sweet girl Keiko, but her journey is far from over, and we STILL need your help raising funds to cover the remaining part of her surgery and future follow up appointments! ❤️‍🩹

First, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated, shared Keiko’s story, and sent love her way! We are so happy to announce that Keiko is officially out of surgery and back in her foster home!🥹💙 An extra special thank you to the incredible team at NC State Veterinary Hospital for taking such wonderful care of our girl and helping her reach this huge milestone!

While surgery was a huge step forward, Keiko’s road to recovery is just beginning!

Her medical bill is currently sitting at around $5,000 AND CLIMBING! With several follow-up appointments, continued medical care, and physical therapy ahead of her, we still have a long way to go to help Keiko regain as much mobility in her leg as possible.

For a puppy who should be spending her days running, playing, and exploring the world, we want nothing more than to give her that opportunity. But we can’t do it without YOU! 🐶💕

💙 HOW CAN YOU HELP KEIKO? 💙

Sometimes, the smallest paws need the biggest helping hands. 🥹 Meet Keiko!

HSEC recently welcomed this precious little girl into our care, and at just a few months old, she’s already facing a pretty big obstacle. Unfortunately, this sweet Australian Shepherd puppy has a broken femur and will need surgery to get her back on all four paws!

Here at HSEC, we believe every animal deserves a fighting chance at a happy, healthy life, and we will do anything and everything we can to make that happen. But sometimes, we need a little help from our community! 💙

We’re raising funds to help cover the cost of Keiko’s upcoming surgery so this baby girl can get back to doing what puppies do best: running, playing, and enjoying life without pain!

Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to giving Keiko the wonderful puppyhood she deserves! 🐶💕

There are multiple ways you can donate toward Keiko’s surgery and recovery!

🐾 Donate Through Our Website:
Visit https://hsecarolina.org, click the “Support Us” tab, and select “Donate Online.” From there, you can make a donation toward HSEC’s Emergency Medical Fund!

Can’t donate? That’s okay! 💙 Sharing this post helps us reach more people who can lend a helping paw toward Keiko’s recovery! 🐾💕

Thank you for all your support! A community like you helps us continue giving back to dogs like Keiko, who have a whole lifetime of adventures ahead of them. With your help, we can give them the chance to experience every single one! 🐶🐾

One paw at a time. 🐾💙

Happy Forever Friend Friday! 🐾💙

Today we’re checking in on HSEC alum Nissan Rogue, now known as Ricardo!

It sounds like Ricardo has been settling into home life beautifully. Once his shyness started to fade, his true personality came shining through and apparently, that personality includes a LOT of adventure, playtime, and exploring every possible corner of the house! 😸

His adopter shared:

“Hi! Just wanted to give you guys an update on Nissan Rouge, who I’ve renamed Ricardo!

Ricardo has been doing great! Once his shyness started to wear off, his personality really came out. He’s become so adventurous, playful, and full of energy. He loves running around, jumping, playing, and exploring every little part of the house.

He’s also starting to find his favorite spots to relax and hang out.

It really seems like he’s realizing that this is his home now, and I love watching him become more comfortable and confident every day. He’s such a sweet and fun little guy, and I’m so happy to have him!”

Happy life, Ricardo! We hope your days stay full of zoomies, exploring, cozy nap spots, and plenty of love.

Happy Forever Friend Friday! 🐾💙

Today we’re checking in on one very special HSEC alum, D***y! Since being adopted, D***y has settled right into his new life and is making the absolute most of it. From toys and cozy naps to car rides and adventures at Wildwood Park, it sounds like this sweet boy has found exactly where he belongs. And when he isn’t out exploring, you can find him being the best couch buddy around! 🏈🦖

Here’s what his adopter had to say:

“Since adopting D***y from the Humane Society, he has completely stolen my heart. Watching him settle in and realize that he is finally home has been so special.

He loves his toys, naps, car rides, and walking the trails at Wildwood Park. He’s also the best couch buddy and loves watching Jurassic World and football with me.

This weekend, D***y is going on his first beach trip, and I can’t wait to make another special memory with him.

I thought I was giving D***y a home, but he has given me so much more in return. He’s my adventure buddy, my best friend, and family. I’m so thankful to the Humane Society for bringing us together.”

We think it’s safe to say D***y absolutely hit the forever-home jackpot. 💙 Happy life, sweet boy — we hope your first beach trip is just the beginning of many more adventures!
