And just like that camp has officially begun! This week is Boys & Girls Adventure Camp and the start of Conservatory Camp. Pray for our youth as they begin their adventures learning about Jesus, the arts, and adventure.

A new chapel is not the only thing being built here in Greenville, NC. Today one of our campers won a best in class award for piano. Congratulations Eric! For this years CYMI (Carolinas Youth Music Institute) the Pitt County Salvation Army was able to send six kids and Eric is the first camper to be awarded a medal in our three years here! Greenville is building a reputation for sending kids to camp which is an honor because we know that camp changes lives! Children of all ages come here where they meet lifelong friends, learn skills that will stay with them for life, and of course they experience the love of Jesus Christ. And none of this happens without the generous donors of Pitt County.

We would like to sincerely thank the folks TowneBank for their generous donation and for coming to help us sort, tag, and hang clothing in our Greenville Thrift Store! It’s partners like these who help us to Do the Most Good here in Pitt Co.

What does one week of camp mean to a child in need?

It means laughter echoing through the trees.
It means stories around the campfire.
It means knowing they're loved by Jesus and by people like you.

Every child we send to camp receives more than just food and fun — they receive encouragement, purpose, and the chance to grow in faith and confidence.

Your support can be the reason a child says, “That was the best week of my life.”

These are real children from the Pitt County area—each one eager for the chance to spend a week at Camp Walter Johnson this summer.

For many families, the cost of camp is the only thing standing in the way.

You can change that. "Adopt" a camper with a gift toward their registration, fully sponsor a child's $300 camp fee, or help send multiple kids to camp this summer.

Your generosity gives a child the space to swim, laugh, build friendships, and experience the love of Jesus through caring counselors, campfire conversations, and moments that matter.

Camp is calling and a child in our community is hoping to answer.

For many kids, summer camp is more than just a break from routine. It is a place where they feel safe, build friendships, and experience joy.

You can help make that possible.

Your gift sends a child to Camp Walter Johnson, where they will try new things, grow in confidence, and hear a message of hope that can change their life.
