The time is now! We begin our ISSMA contest season this Saturday @ Center Grove with Regionals. GC Band & Guard perform our 2026 show DYNAMIC! at 1:30 PM.

The GC Band & Guard were absolutely DYNAMIC! at Avon last week. We won’t compete this weekend, but there are still opportunities to support the band.

If you are going to the Riley Festival, we are parking cars at the GC Admin Building, 110 W North Street. $10 to park. All money raised goes to reducing student fees.

Friday morning we will participate in the Riley Festival Flower Parade. (Weather dependent, HS members only)

Friday evening it is Senior Night at the football game.

Saturday morning is the Riley Festival Parade.

Selling the props and floor from our winter guard show. Benches are designed to set on end to create a different look. 8 benches wrapped in vinyl are $1500. Tarp is $1500. Buy them both for $2500. Can also dig out the silks from the show if so desired.

Selling 7 rolling light sculptures from our winter percussion show. Includes light bulbs but no batteries or inverters. Can include those for a price or share links to those items. There is a pipe that can be added to hold percussion mounts for auxiliary percussion attachments. We used ribbon crashers and pipes.

$250 each or $1500 for all 7.

Friday night football games, homecoming parades and Saturday night competitions are keeping us busy. We had another great weekend of growth and progress at the Northwestern HS Marching Band contest and are ready for another week of practice before we head to Avon Saturday September 26th. Class B competition starts at 6:15 PM and the GC Band & Guard take the field at 7:15.

We had an incredible first competition at Westfield Saturday night. Thank you to everyone who joined us and cheered us on.

The kids were amazing and ready to get back at it next week. We hit the road again next Saturday as we head to Northwestern HS near Kokomo.

As we always say, it’s a great day to be great.
