🧡 Community Issues Day: Leadership That Serves

Leadership is not always about being in charge. Sometimes, it is about showing up, serving others, and strengthening the community around you.

Today, the Leadership Hancock County Class of 2027 is getting a closer look at the people and organizations working every day to support our community.

From nonprofit leaders and community resources to conversations about volunteering and making a difference, today is a reminder that strong communities are built by people who care enough to get involved.

🧡 Leadership Lives On | LHC Alumni Newsletter 🧡

It has been a while, and we are excited to reconnect with our Leadership Hancock County alumni!

We are bringing back our LHC Alumni Newsletter, created to celebrate our alumni, share what is happening with Leadership Hancock County, and keep our alumni community connected.

Our first issue includes updates from Leadership Hancock County, highlights from our 2026–2027 class, and the beginning of a new feature, Leadership Lives On, where we will spotlight an LHC alumna or alumnus in each newsletter.

Whether you graduated in 1996 or 2026, you are part of the Leadership Hancock County story. And while your class may have ended, your connection to this community has not.

🌟 Retreat Day 2: Discover. Connect. Collaborate. 🌟

The Leadership Hancock County Class of 2027 is back for Day 2 of Retreat, and today is all about discovering what makes great teams work! 🙌

From exploring communication styles and learning more about ourselves and our teammates to diving into the LHC experience, tackling team building challenges, and practicing consensus building, today is packed with opportunities to connect, collaborate, and grow as leaders.

A huge THANK YOU to our Retreat Day 2 Chairs, Sarah House, Erica Welborn, and Shelby Couch! 🧡 Their time, creativity, and hard work have helped create a day filled with meaningful experiences, new connections, and plenty of opportunities for our class to learn from one another.

🌟 Retreat Day 1: What a Start! 🌟

The Leadership Hancock County Class of 2027 officially kicked off their journey with an incredible first day of Retreat! 🧡

From great speakers and meaningful conversations to team building activities and plenty of opportunities to get to know one another, Day 1 was all about building connections and laying the foundation for the year ahead.

And then came the scavenger hunt. 👀📸😂

The class embraced the challenge with creativity, teamwork, and a willingness to have a little fun along the way. The evening wrapped up with dinner, plenty of laughter, and a compilation video featuring their scavenger hunt adventures.

Let's just say... some of the day's moments were even better when they appeared on the big screen. 😂

A full day of learning, connecting, laughing, and creating memories together.

Day 1 is officially in the books. 📚
And Class of 2027... we are just getting started! 🚀

🌟 Retreat Day 1: Let the Leadership Journey Begin! 🌟

Today, we officially welcome the Leadership Hancock County Class of 2027 to Retreat Day 1! 🎉

The leadership journey begins with a day focused on connection, collaboration, and discovering what it means to lead in Hancock County.

From learning the history of Leadership Hancock County and getting to know the LHC Board of Directors to exploring problem solving strategies, building teamwork, and even a little friendly competition, today is all about laying the foundation for an incredible year ahead!

A very special THANK YOU to our Retreat Day Chairs, Emily Loewen, Laura Parker, and Abby Herbert! 🧡 They put in the time, thought, and effort to plan and execute a meaningful day designed to welcome our class, build connections, and set the stage for the year ahead.
