Today is Day of the African Child! This year's theme is "ensuring universal access to water, sanitation, and hygiene for every child in Africa."

Access to clean water, safe sanitation, and proper hygiene is not a privilege, it is a fundamental right for every child. Yet, many children across Africa still face challenges that affect their health, education, and overall well-being.

At GBHT, we are committed to championing children’s rights and supporting efforts that ensure every child grows up in a safe, healthy, and dignified environment.

K**a, the young boy in the wheelchair, lost both of his legs after a tragic train accident. Life on the streets is already incredibly difficult, and for children like K**a, the challenges are even greater.

During one of our regular street outreach in Nairobi, our social worker met K**a, who humbly asked if we could help him with transportation back home. Thanks to your continued support, we were able to respond and reunite him with his family.

Thank you to everyone who stands with GBHT and makes these moments of hope possible. Your generosity reminds vulnerable children and families that they are seen, valued, and loved.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who gave towards today’s tournament! Our students had so much fun and it was an amazing experience for them. We know they will be talking about it for weeks to come! We are so proud of two of our students who received awards for the talents and good sportsmanship.

Today, our team visited homeless families in Nairobi as we continue building relationships and sharing hope. We are grateful to God for opening the door to a potential partnership with an organization that specializes in rehabilitation and reintegration. This partnership will help provide a pathway for those who desire to leave street life and begin a new chapter.

Something we love to do at GBHT is create opportunities for our students that they might not be given otherwise. We are so excited that we have created a partnership with a local soccer academy to help with this!

We have been given a big opportunity by them to bring two teams to an upcoming tournament with local international schools. Our students are beyond excited and have begun practicing!

This is where you can help!! We are in need of uniforms, shoes, and shin guards for the students. For just $25 per child, you can help provide all of that! We have 30 students total who will be participating.

We are looking forward to an ongoing partnership with them to build up our soccer club! Will you help us reach our goal and give our students this opportunity?

Over the past two days, many homeless families in Nairobi have been affected by the unrest happening in the city. Today, our GBHT team visited families on the streets to share hope, pray with them, and provide hot meals through our street outreach ministry.

It was heartbreaking to meet children who are sick, hurting, and in need of encouragement during this difficult time. We are also seeing an increasing number of young boys ending up on the streets, while some families are choosing to return home in search of safety and stability.

Please continue praying for Kenya, healing for the children, and hope for vulnerable families. Your support helps us continue reaching those in need with practical care and the love of Christ.

We thank God for the opportunity to continue ministering to homeless families in our city. Through the dedication of our Social Worker and Discipleship Coordinator, we were able to share the Gospel, pray together, and provide hot meals to those in need.
