Discover the ancient art of silk painting!

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to create vibrant designs using flowing liquid dyes on pre-stretched silk. Instructor Kim Snyder will guide you through using gutta resist to create crisp outlines while exploring simple color theory with the three primary colors.

Whether you’re new to silk painting or looking to try a new medium, you’ll leave with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind creation.

Through expert instruction, collaborative group workshops, and personalized feedback, instructor Dan England will guide you in structuring, refining, and sharing stories that truly captivate. Throughout the series, participants will write, revise, rehearse, and present their stories in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Dan England has been telling stories professionally for more than 25 years as a journalist and author. You may know his work from the Greeley Tribune, NOCO Style, and many other local publications. An ultrarunner and endurance athlete, Dan also coaches driven individuals to achieve their personal goals.

The GCD Youth Arts Council spent all morning prepping for the 2026 Greeley Recreation Family Field Day. Stop by our booth tomorrow (Saturday, June 20) and help us paint the mosaic tiles in our community mural. Once all the tiles are filled, the mural will be displayed at the Family FunPlex.

You can find us near the Lincoln Park playground!
