One night. 80 seats. One unforgettable storyteller.

On Tuesday, June 16, platinum-selling artist, songwriter, and our dear friend of Art House Grandview John Mark McMillan is joining us for an intimate, limited-seating fundraising concert — just 80 chairs in the room.

Expect the songs you love, the stories behind them, poster signings, and real face-to-face time with John Mark. He offered to donate his time so we can raise money for our community, and we said yes.

These will go fast. Don't wait.

May has been a month of full houses.

A packed run of The Curious Savage. Walls filled with the work of local artists. Saturdays given over to building sets, stitching costumes, hanging art, pouring wine, greeting neighbors at the door.

As we turn the corner toward the final days of the Local Artist Gallery, we want to pause and say thank you.

Thank you for every ticket purchased. Every piece of art sold. Every hour given to this place.

Something is happening here. A community is taking shape inside these walls. Our phones keep autocorrecting “Art House” to “our house” — and honestly, that’s starting to feel about right.

Art House Grandview is becoming a place where community blossoms. We are so grateful you are part of it.

The Local Artist Gallery closes Friday, May 29. Come see us before it does!

And so the curation process has begun!

Today at Art House Grandview’s 808 location, and began to sculpt what will soon be our second Local Artist Gallery.

“What’s the importance of gallery curation?” you ask? Let us tell you!

A gallery without curation is just a room full of objects. It’s the curator’s hand that transforms it into an experience — deciding the rhythm of the space, the flow from one work to the next, and the way light and placement work together to guide you through a story without you even realizing it’s happening.

When a gallery is curated well, you feel it before you understand it. There’s a sense of ease, of being held. Nothing jars. Nothing feels out of place. You move through rooms feeling curious, then moved, then reflective — and you leave carrying something with you, even if you can’t quite name it. That invisible architecture is what we live for.

Make sure to come to opening night of the gallery- THIS FRIDAY from 7-10pm at our 808 Main Street location. As always, our exhibit is free. So come by, bring a friend, and experience the extraordinary art being made in your community.

Some mornings start better than others, and Friday was one of those GREAT mornings!

Art House Grandview has been awarded a $5,600 grant from the Neighborhoods Rising Fund, in partnership with (Community Capital Fund).

NRF is dedicated to growing and building strong neighborhoods — and that’s exactly where this is going!

Every dollar will go toward a brand-new community mural in Grandview, sponsored by Art House Grandview.

A huge thank you to Mayor Pro Tem for championing this with us, and to every neighbor who keeps showing up for this town.

More details coming soon!
