Lord, You know the pain the family has endured at the hands of others.
They give themselves to You, the Healer.
They will submit to Your command to love everyone around them,
including there enemies.
May they not repay evil for evil.
May there heart not wish harm
for those who have hurt me.
Instead, As we pray for Your blessing on them.
Make them generous in grace and compassion,
and strong enough to live at peace with everyone. I praise You because justice is in Your nature, and we trust You to carry out justice as You see fit, when You see fit.
You are God, and I am not.
You are on the throne, and You say,
βIt is mine to avenge; I will repayβ (Romans 12:19 NIV).
I give You honor, God,
and leave room for You to do
what Your wisdom says is just and right.

βLosing a loved one to homicide is a life-afflicting and tragic experience that an individual can face. It is an event for which no one can adequately prepare. Family members and friends of the victims are suddenly faced with painful grief and isolation. Homicide or murder is defined as the βwillfulβ killing of one human being by another. I know, for I have traveled down that path of grief myself.β β Ms. Coody, mother of Destiny Weaver
On the morning of June 2, 2017, Destiny Weaver was found murdered inside a vehicle at Tower Park near East 76th Street and Holmes Road in Kansas City, MO. Authorities are still seeking the culprits involved with her murder.
The pain remains in Ms. Coodyβs eyes as she shares her story. However, it is through the pain she has birthed this 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Justice 4 Destiny, Inc.
