Just wanted to share with everyone a great opportunity for homeschoolers. The Lady, The Children, And The Message is coming up April 11-14. The April 11 Thursday performance is free to homeschoolers and their parents, but you still need to get tickets on-line (at no cost) as seating is limited.
This play was locally written and is directed by a homeschooling dad and has many area homeschoolers in the cast and crew of 75 actors, musicians, and stage crew. If you are a Christian, you will find this play very fulfilling. It tells the story of the events of Fatima Portugal in 191 7. Mary, the mother of Jesus was sent by her Son to three peasant children in Portugal. The Lord wanted to use them to warn the world of the coming errors of communism and the negative impacts it would have on the world. She told the children this atheistic ideology would spread its errors throughout the world and pull many souls away from her Son, Jesus Christ. This story is interwoven with scenes from the Gospel of Luke to bring the message of the hope our Lord provides to us all.
You can get tickets at www.fatima-live.com. There is limited seating, and it will be advertised to schools the first week of March so get a ticket ASAP to save a seat. It is recommended that children under the age of 8 not attend.

Dear all,

I will no longer be the coordinator for the Kansas City Conference for Catholic Homeschoolers. The fictitious name, "Kansas City Conference for Catholic Homeschoolers," expires at the end of July. This is a legal thing needed to open a business bank account, which I will close at the end of July. We will shut down the website at the end of July as well. We will no longer answer emails at this address at the end of July.

I do believe that a conference is a worthy event needed not only for the individual homeschools but also to build community. I believe that for it to continue, it needs new vision and new leadership. I am willing to mentor that new leadership with a committee of committed, supportive members. However, I will not seek out nor pursue people; the desire for the conference's continuation will encourage them to seek any needed guidance, not necessarily from me.

May God bless each and every one of you and your families. May you all remember how very precious you are to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May you do all for the greater glory of God. May you remember to take time to develop and grow yourself as a teacher, to invigorate and enrich yourself as mom, and to pray and be at peace with yourself as a child of God so you can nurture saints for Heaven.

God Bless you,
Siobhan DeFeo
