November is here. You know what that means.

Fourteen days until opening morning. Until you settle into your spot, listen to the woods wake up, and hope that sound in the leaves is more than another squirrel.

For Michigan deer hunters, November 15 has a place on the calendar that nothing else gets.

Before you head out again, check your gear, your stand or blind, your route in and out, and the weather. Replace what got used up. Fix the thing you said you’d fix “later.”
