Juneteenth (National Independence Day) is a federal holiday that honors the end of slavery in the United States, which occurred on June 19, 1865. With tonight’s playlist, I hope to recognize the past, serve the present and inspire the future. I’ll be playing hit songs from influential African American and Black artists for tonight’s show:

How my season started versus how it’s going!

It’s fitting that on my Breakup Song Night, I’m breaking up with my old Bazooka Pipes and making waves with new ones! At the start of my season, my volunteer crew found major damage in the pipes that make my arched feature across the fountain.

It’s taken some work, but they are finally back in business! Thank you to my Thursday Work Crew: Bob, Chuck, Dennis, John, and Jerry for taking such good care of me!
