Today, August 31, is International Overdose Awareness Day. 💜

Today we remember the lives lost to overdose and stand with the families, friends, and communities who continue to feel those losses.

We also recognize the importance of compassion, prevention, education, and access to support.

Overdose can affect anyone, and together we can help reduce stigma, share life-saving resources, and remind our community that help is available.

Today, we remember. We raise awareness. And we work toward a future where fewer lives are lost to overdose. 🤝

A new chapter could be just around the corner! Our Homeowner Application Portal opens Tuesday, September 1, and we’re excited to begin the next step with families who are ready to pursue affordable homeownership with Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne.

Apply electronically: The application portal will be available online, and we’ll share the application link right here on our social media once the portal opens.
Prefer paper? Paper applications will also be available for pickup at our office.

While you wait for the portal to open, we strongly encourage you to review the list of required documents and begin gathering your information. Having everything ready will help make the application process smoother and ensure you’re prepared when applications open.
