This week we are featuring C shift Firefighter Devon Pierce! This is what Devon has to say about working for GFD. "My name is Devon Pierce and I’m a Firefighter for the Golden Fire Department. I’ve been a paramedic since 2022 and I was hired after completing the Golden Fire Academy in August of 2023. I met my beautiful fiance McKenzie while on the job at Golden Fire and together we had our son Deke at the end of 2025.
I was raised in Durango, CO and love being outdoors. I enjoy skiing and snowboarding with the homies in the winter and golfing in the summer. I love high adrenaline activities which is ultimately why I wanted to be a first responder.
I have the best job in the world and I love serving the community of Golden!"
