Tuesday Morning at approx 0545 Engine 21, Truck 24, Medic 21 were dispatched to a single vehicle left the road off Hwy 6 near the gateway trail head. This vehicle ended up skidding across the gateway parking lot on its roof. The single occupant of the vehicle was not injured and was released on scene. No other damage or injuries were noted. Crews left scene with Golden Police.

Yesterday, brush 21 had the opportunity to participate in a prescribed burn at bear creek lake park in City of Lakewood. Multiple units from around the Denver Metro area participated in burning over 100 acres in a controlled manner. These burns help maintain a healthy ecosystem, control weeds, promote natural grass growth and reintroduces carbon back into soil. In addition, these burns and the cooperation required assist in firefighter training and experience by treating these prescribed fire as a real wildland fire incident. This week, 37 members from 12 departments in Colorado converged on the Golden area to attend the aerial operations academy. Visiting sites throughout the Golden and west Denver area, members worked on difficult aerial placement, perform elevated rescue operations, driving and maneuvering, building fire attack and rescue with the aerial device and demonstrate rope and rigging techniques. This class was 40 hours and very rigorous for members. We want to thank VentEnterSearch | Firefighter Training West Metro Prof. Firefighters ArvadaFire Local 5336 for the support and collaboration!

Thursday Afternoon, Engine 21 and Medic 24 responded to a report of a vehicle in clear creek within the Coors property. Units arrived on scene to find 1 vehicle on its roof. 1 person was evaluated and transported with non life threatening injuries.

Friday evening, Rescue 21, Battalion Chief 21, Truck 24 and Truck 24 were dispatched to a report of a back country rescue on North Table. Crews responded to a report of a single person that was unable to ascend their rope or descent their rope and was stuck while climbing. Mutual aid was requested from Arvada Fire. Truck 52, Medic 52, Engine 55 and Battalion 53 responded to assist. The subject was lowered to the ground and assessed for injuries by Paramedics. No injuries were reported and the subject was brought back to their vehicle.
