People Who Need People (PWNP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 2006 to serve the needs of homeless women and children.

Thank you to Bushy Park Elementary’s Troop 4102 for making 100 nonperishable lunches for HCC’s Fueling Dragons program.

This incredibly thoughtful donation came at the perfect time to help students especially over spring break. Thank you troop for your generosity!

Because of YOU, our incredible supporters, volunteers, families, and friends, we collected:
- 465 heart-shaped boxes of chocolates
- 307 essential basic needs toiletries

That’s 772 tangible reminders that our community shows up with both compassion and action.

At PWNP, our mission is simple: to connect people in need with people who can help. You helped us support the physical and emotional needs of our local shelter residents, ensuring they not only receive essentials, but also feel seen, valued, and cared for.

We are so grateful to every single person who donated, collected, sorted, delivered, and shared our mission. Nineteen years strong, and it only works because of you. 💕

Usually we have groups and teams helping us, but with it being Super Sunday it was a tough to get Lunch Line group. Our board provided the helping hands, but we wanted to send our thanks to all our supporters who provide monetary donations to PWNP. By having funds available, we were able to send almost 60 perishable lunches to Grassroots for their residents. Thank you!

PWNP is very thankful to have 2029 Black supporting our Chocolate Box Challenge! This drive helps raise needed supplies depleted after the holidays at local shelters. Small boxes of chocolates are also gathered to help shelter residents know they are remembered and cared about. We are deeply grateful for the team’s support and kindness!

We’re officially 2 days into our Chocolate Box Challenge and feeling so grateful for the early support already coming in!

For the next 8 days, we’re collecting basic needs items for local shelters along with heart-shaped boxes of chocolate to remind residents that their community sees them, cares about them, and is standing with them.

Every donation , big or small, makes a meaningful impact. If you’ve been thinking about participating, there’s still plenty of time to jump in!

Purchase items listed on the attached flier and drop off at one of our collection sites or order directly from our Amazon wishlist.

Being a collection site is simple...put a bin on your front porch, share our social media posts, encourage your friends and neighbors to donate and start collecting! It's that easy!

Our Annual Chocolate Box Challenge is almost upon us!

We are looking for volunteers to serve as collection sites for specific shelter needs as well as chocolate boxes to feed the soul!
