Carmella is a stunning young adult grey girl who shines both inside and out. With a soft, smoky coat that resembles rolling fog or a dark, drifting cloud, she has an ethereal kind of beauty that’s truly unforgettable. Her striking coloring, paired with her gentle expression, gives her a quiet elegance that draws you in the moment you see her. She was found as a devoted stray mom caring for her kittens and has since proven to be incredibly people-focused. From the moment someone enters the room, Carmella lights up, greeting them with gentle charm and eager affection. She loves being around her humans and thrives on attention, always ready to be part of the moment. Her warm, social personality makes her an instant favorite with everyone she meets. Now that her kittens have grown, Carmella is ready to enjoy a life where she can be the one receiving all the love and care she so freely gives. Carmella will make a deeply devoted, affectionate companion—and with her dreamy, cloud like beauty, she’s as breathtaking as she is loving.

Adoption Recap
It’s been a heartwarming stretch of adoptions here at the Center, and we’re so excited to share where some of our beloved friends have landed:
🌍 Venus & Mars (littermates) have officially found their perfect orbit with a wonderful family of Earthlings.
🏠 Adobe & Rumble, once bunkmates, are now settling into a loving forever home together.
😺 Ruckus is living up to his name—in the best way—bringing plenty of personality and fun to his new family!
🐯 After 116 days at the Center, tiger siblings Matty & Lacey finally went home. They were adopted by truly special people who honored their beloved late cat by giving a bonded pair a second chance at the loving home they so deserved.
Every adoption is meaningful, but these stories remind us just how powerful second chances can be. Thank you to all the families who opened their hearts—and homes.

🐾🤍 Meet Marquise — soft, sweet, and quietly charming. 🤍🐾

Marquise is a beautiful black and white girl who came to us as a friendly stray, now ready to find a home where she can truly relax and feel safe. She may be a little shy at first, taking her time to settle in, but it doesn’t take long for her gentle, affectionate nature to shine through.

With just a few kind pets, Marquise melts into attention and happily soaks up all the love you have to give. 😻 Her calm presence makes her a wonderfully comforting companion, and when she’s content, she’ll show it by making the sweetest little biscuits with her paws. 🍞✨

She thrives in a peaceful environment where she can build trust at her own pace and enjoy quiet moments with her people.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion with a soft heart and cozy charm, Marquise is ready to meet you. 🏡💛

📍 Come spend some time with her and see just how special she is.

🐾🖤 Meet Obsidian — a quiet soul with so much love to give. 🖤🐾

Obsidian is a sleek, handsome black boy who came to us as a friendly stray. While his heart is gentle and kind, he’s still learning that the world — and people — can be safe, which can make him seem a little shy at first.

He prefers to take things slow, observing from a cozy distance before letting his guard down. But with patience, compassion, and a soft approach, Obsidian begins to reveal his true self — leaning into gentle affection and forming meaningful connections over time. ✨

Obsidian would thrive in a calm, low‑stress home with someone who understands the beauty of building trust at his pace. With the right person, he has all the potential to grow into a deeply loyal and quietly loving companion.

If you believe that the best bonds are worth the wait, Obsidian may be the one for you. 🏡💛

📍 Come meet him and discover the gentle heart beneath the surface.

Ways to Help Your Cat Beat the Heat
~Make sure your cat always has access to plenty of fresh, cool drinking water. Place extra water bowls around your home and consider using chilled water or adding an ice cube when you refill them to help keep it cool longer.
~If your cat mainly eats dry food, try adding some canned (wet) food. The extra moisture can help support hydration and keep your cat feeling their best in the heat.
~Elevating your cat’s bed can make a big difference.
~You can also create a simple “cooling station.” Cats naturally seek out cool surfaces when it’s hot, so consider using a pressure activated cooling mat—no freezer or electricity required.
~Another easy option: freeze a flat, pet-safe ice pack, wrap it in a towel, and place it in your cat’s favorite lounging spot. Just be sure the ice pack is never in direct contact with your cat’s skin.
~A small, quiet fan can help move air and create a gentle breeze. For an extra cooling boost, place it near your AC or set a frozen water bottle in front of it.
~Finally, keep your home as cool as possible by closing curtains and blinds during the day. This not only reduces indoor heat but also keeps sunny nap spots from getting too warm.

Recognizing the Signs of Heatstroke in Cats
Cats are experts at hiding when something is wrong, so it’s important to watch closely during extreme heat. If you notice any of the following signs, your cat could be experiencing heatstroke or another serious medical issue:
• Panting (unusual for cats and always a concern)
• Sweaty paws or more frequent “wet” paw prints
• Disorientation or confusion
• Vomiting
• Restlessness
• Lethargy or weakness
• Drooling or thick, sticky saliva
• Bright red tongue or gums
• Body temperature above 105°F (normal is around 100.5–102.5°F)
⚠️ If you suspect heatstroke, act immediately. Begin gentle cooling at home right away and seek veterinary care as soon as possible—this is a medical emergency.
Your quick response can make all the difference. Stay alert and keep your cats safe in the heat!
