The girls and boys soccer games under the new lights have been awesome! This Friday will be a fun one as well. We hope to see you there. Go Bears! 🐻

We can’t wait to welcome all of GF Nation to the Black Bears Block Party on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. by Putt LaMay Field!

Whether you’re attending the block party, the football game, or both, please be a good neighbor when it comes to parking on Friday night. Remember:

⭐️ Consider carpooling or walking to the block party and football game. The weather looks perfect for a nice evening walk!

🚫 PLEASE do NOT block residents’ driveways or park on their lawns. This is very important, and your respect for private property shows that you’re GF Nation STRONG!

🅿️ Parking is available in the Glens Falls High School lot, or at the Calvary Family Life Center church lot. Many thanks to Calvary for opening their lot to fans!

⛔️ The Middle School parking lot is closed due to construction materials, and there will be no access to the gate/festivities from the Middle School fields. Remember that students should not be on those fields at any time in the evening (ie. no pickup games, ball toss, etc.)

We’re ready to celebrate with UNITY, SUPPORT, PASSION, and GRIT! Let’s hear you roar, Black Bears!

Special thanks to Hacksaw Jim Duggan, wife, Debra, and GFFD for putting on a great event today at the Ridge St. Firehouse! The legendary athlete and Glens Falls Firefighter in the 70’s was honored by Mayor Bill Collins and the GFFD. Our Board President, George Normandin joined the fire department (including Board member Ric Stafford), City of Glens Falls officials, the GFPD, and several friends and fans of Mr. Duggan to raise $2,500 for the GF Nation Fund! After the awards ceremony, Mr. & Mrs. Duggan we’re extremely generous with their time to sign autographs and take pictures with fans for a small donation to the fund. We’re incredibly grateful to have their support of our mission to provide unique experiences outside of the classroom to K-12 students. Some great news to announce: The Class of 2001 recently had a class reunion at the Queensbury Hotel and the former students made a $900 donation to the GF Nation Fund!

Special thanks to the leadership of Joshua Tefft, Tia Stillman (Bigg), and Christine Thorne (Ilardi) for their thoughtfulness and coordination efforts to make this happen.

Every single dollar we raise together goes directly to the faculty, staff, and kids of our school district for enriching experiences outside of the classroom. Thank you all!

Both capital improvement projects are moving forward! Thank you to each and every one of you who took a vested interest in advancing our school district by voting. We also greatly appreciate the spirited discussions leading up to the vote. Those of you who opposed the project(s), thank you for coming forward and speaking up. We’ve listened very closely to your questions, concerns, and suggestions throughout this process. Our volunteer group’s purpose can be summarized in two words: Continuous Improvement. Therefore, now through the next budget vote, we look forward to working even closer with you to proactively plan and further advance our school district in the future.
