Congratulations to our own Barbara Ryan, who was honored Saturday evening at the Adirondack Folk School's annual gala. In a packed ballroom at the Queensbury Hotel, Barb was announced as the recipient of the Adirondack Folk School's 2026 Patron of the Arts award.

Barb discovered the folk school ten years ago, and after taking her first felting class, quickly fell in love with the craft and the school. Since then, she has been a dedicated student, generous supporter and enthusiastic ambassador for Adirondack Folk School (AFS).

The award recognizes Barb's commitment to the arts, lifelong learning, and the AFS community. This year also marks a new milestone for her as she prepares to teach her first felting class at AFS.

Barb's passion, creativity, and generosity inspire many! Please join us in celebrating Barb and this well-earned honor!
