Your gift to FinisTerre helps maintain our vital connection with missionaries serving beyond the road’s end. We schedule helicopter transportation for every need – emergency evacuation, supply runs, pastoral and family visits from sending churches, medical resupply, etc. Everything that can make a missionary feel isolated and forgotten, we aim to help alleviate.

Why Papua New Guinea and not another location? As the most linguistically diverse place on the planet, there is a desperate need there for the gospel, the Bible, and the church.

It can be easy to focus on all the ways that life in Papua New Guinea is different from life in the United States: from the hundreds of different languages and cultures, to unfamiliar foods and different ways of grocery shopping, to modes of transportation, the rugged terrain, and even the simple absence of air conditioning.

But despite all the differences, the one thing that remains the same is simple: We have the same heart condition. We all need to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. And that’s what makes all the changes worthwhile.

Where does the missions agency come in? What is our role?

Missionaries are not going to be able to get to unreached language groups and STAY there apart from consistent, dependable, funding for an agency like FinisTerre to help the church. FinisTerre recruits staff to put people in Madang at the field office to uphold the missionaries, build relationships with the churches, and develop partners.

Our goal at FinisTerre is to provide as much support as possible for the missionaries and their sending churches as they fulfill the Great Commission.
