Biblically faithful churches alone have the authority to raise and send qualified missionaries to plant more churches in the Great Commission.

So where does FinisTerre fit in?

We want to help local churches send their missionaries to plant churches at the ends of the earth, specifically in Papua New Guinea. At FinisTerre, our role is to proclaim the need, partner with like-minded churches, prepare a path for training, and provide logistic care and spiritual resources.

We aren’t here to take over. We’re here to be a bridge.

Those who don't know Christ will suffer without Him. When a village comes to Christ, hearts are changed, and therefore, lives are changed as a result.

Thank you to each of you who support FinisTerre missionaries and their ministry in Papua New Guinea, both finacially and in prayer. Your partnership with them not only meets physical needs, but brings them encouragement on the field to persevere. This work could not be done without you!

Did you know that much of Papua New Guinea is accessible only by helicopter?

Due to PNG’s mountainous and densely forested terrain, many of the villages are quite isolated. A quick trip to the store for eggs or milk is out of the question… Missionaries receive supplies every six weeks from FinisTerre’s field office in Madang, sent by helicopter. It’s a different way of living than many of us are used to, but these sacrifices seem small compared to the joys of knowing these remote villages have an opportunity to hear the saving power of Jesus.

FinisTerre's goal is to not just send missionaries to Papua New Guinea; it’s to keep them there.

Reaching unreached language groups is a life-long calling. Not only is it moving across the world to a helicopter-access-only village, but it’s learning a new language, planting a church and preaching in that language, and translating the Scriptures so that as many New Guineans as possible can hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Your giving impacts not just the missionaries and their families, but those they will reach. Those who never would have heard otherwise.

The greatest barrier between people is language. And Papua New Guinea is the most linguistically diverse place on the planet. How will they hear the Good News if no one is sent?

"How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!" Romans 10:14-15

At FinisTerre, we believe that the local church is the center of the Great Commission; we simply function as the bridge, connecting the church with the unreached peoples of Papua New Guinea. We come alongside churches to offer training resources (through our partner, Radius International) and on-field care through our base in Madang, staying connected to the sending church through the entire process.
