Oftentimes, when we think of missionary life, we fail to remember that this is real life. We might picture endless hours of prayer or Bible reading, conversations that only end in gospel presentations, etc. But just like you and me, missionaries have laundry. They have family time. They need rest. So what does the life of a missionary actually look like? For some of them, it looks like this:
Monday - Friday: Schoolwork, cooking, cleaning, kids activities, working on Bible translation and preparing the weekly sermon in the village’s local language.
Saturday: Teaching literacy/reading, meeting with male leaders of the village to discuss God’s Word, leadership, and ministry
Sunday: Teaching/preaching to the local villagers in their language
