🦋 Grace Mobile Closet Is Growing! 🦋

We’re making it easier for families to understand and access the support available through Kira’s Grace Foundation.

Our Butterfly Exchange and medical-equipment funding assistance are now being brought together under one comprehensive program: Grace Mobile Closet.

Through Grace Mobile Closet, Kira’s Grace Foundation may assist individuals with disabilities and their families by:

🦋 Providing donated durable medical equipment and unopened medical supplies from our available inventory
🦋 Offering temporary equipment loans when available
🦋 Working with local, state, and international partners to help locate specialized equipment
🦋 Connecting families with trusted resources and nonprofit discounts
🦋 Providing limited financial assistance for medically necessary equipment or supplies that insurance will not cover

Families only need to submit one request. Our team will then explore the best available options for helping meet their needs.

All assistance is based on need, eligibility, available inventory or funding, and alignment with our mission.

When financial assistance is approved, Kira’s Grace Foundation pays the vendor directly. Funds are not distributed directly to individuals.

We also continue to accept donations of clean, gently used durable medical equipment and unopened medical supplies so these resources can continue helping families throughout our community.

Kira’s Grace is proud to support Stacey Fague as she takes on the New York City Marathon while fundraising for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides meaningful camp experiences and programming for children with serious illnesses and their families, creating opportunities for friendship, fun, and community.

We were honored to help Stacey reach her fundraising goal and, in doing so, support a mission that closely connects with our own commitment to children and families affected by disabilities and complex medical needs.

We’re cheering Stacey on as she takes on the marathon and are grateful for the opportunity to support another organization making a difference for kids and families. 💜

Disability-related expenses can place an unexpected financial strain on families, and sometimes a little extra support can make a meaningful difference.

Kira’s Grace’s Direct Funding program provides financial assistance to qualifying families with disability-related needs as resources allow. Our goal is to help families access support while treating every situation with compassion, dignity, and care.

September is World Alzheimer’s Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage understanding, and recognize the individuals and families whose lives are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

A new month is here, and at Kira’s Grace, our focus remains the same: supporting families affected by disabilities with compassion, helpful resources, and a strong community.

The right adaptive equipment can make a meaningful difference in everyday life, but families may face long waits while navigating insurance, funding, or other long-term options.

Through our Butterfly Exchange Program, Kira’s Grace helps extend the life of adaptive equipment by connecting eligible equipment with families who may be able to use it. The goal is simple: help useful equipment continue supporting families instead of sitting unused.

A quick reminder about donations to Grace Mobile Closet.

To help us keep donated items safe, useful, and appropriate for the families we serve, there are some items we’re unable to accept, including expired items, power wheelchairs, hospital beds, medications of any kind, sharps or needles, and diabetic supplies.

We truly appreciate everyone who thinks of Kira’s Grace when they have items to donate. Your generosity helps us continue building a caring and supportive community for families affected by disabilities.

If you or someone in your family is affected by a disability and needs help, you are welcome to reach out to Kira’s Grace.

You don't need to know exactly what program you need before contacting us. Tell us what's going on, what you're looking for, and what you've already tried. From there, we'll do our best to determine how Kira’s Grace may be able to help.

Families can reach out for things such as adaptive equipment needs, financial assistance, clothing and items through Kira’s Mobile Closet, advocacy support, or help locating disability-related resources and services.

When asking for assistance, please share only the information you're comfortable providing publicly. Do not post private medical records, Social Security numbers, insurance information, financial account information, or other sensitive documents in this forum. A member of our team can let you know privately if additional information is needed.

We also want to be transparent: Kira’s Grace is a growing nonprofit with limited funding and resources. Reaching out does not guarantee that we will be able to fund or fulfill every request. However, even when we can't directly provide something, we may be able to help research resources, identify another organization, or point you toward a possible next step.
