Gettysburg Poetry Society Welcome to GPS We are a part of the Pennsylvania Poetry Society.

The Gettysburg Poetry Society proudly welcomes you to their site and invites you to participate in our mission and goals, either in person at our meetings, or via our website/email. This fine organization was established in 1949 by historian Henry Wharton Shoemaker and his sister, poet Blanche Shomaker Wagstaff.

The April spring PPS Inc poetry awards conference was wonderfully successful! Open 🎤 mic while enjoying pastries and coffee followed by prize poems being performed ~ then a delicious buffet luncheon! Steve Concert’s presentation of everything in publishing was so informative. Thank You Steven 😘 Our 2025 PPS Anthology is out now also with all 1, 2, 3 place and grand prize poems printed. The honorable mentions are not in this . You can get Firefly PPS 2025 Anthology on Amazon for $10.00 Great price for great artistic works
