TRANSIT OF VENUS Lab Software Update---Go to the CLEA website at http://public.gettysburg.edu/~marschal/clea/Transitlab.html
To upload a new Transit of Venus software update (installs over your old one if you have the images already loaded)--it resolves issues that prevented easy display, animation, and measuring of images under Windows 7. The Update is called TransitLabUpd.exe

This exercise enables students to observe images of the transit of Venus of June 8, 2004, and use measurements of those images of the sun from three terrestrial sites to determine the number of kilometers in an Astronomical Unit. The exercise uses images obtained by the GONG proj...
