4 The World

🌎🐺 WE’RE BRINGING 4 THE WORLD BACK TO NC STATE!

Years ago, NC State students helped build a student-run 4 The World chapter focused on service, leadership, fundraising and international programs supporting communities in Belize and Guatemala.

Now we’re rebuilding it — and we’re looking for the first student leader to help make it happen.

4 The World is seeking a motivated NC State student interested in helping relaunch the chapter and serving as a founding President/Chapter Leader.

Undergraduate, graduate and PhD students are encouraged to get involved. You do not need previous nonprofit or leadership experience. We’re looking for someone who cares about service, wants to make a difference and is willing to help build something meaningful.

The founding student leadership team can help recruit members, develop service and fundraising projects, connect with faculty and alumni, explore future international programs, and prepare the chapter for official NC State student-organization registration.

One student can help us find five. Five can help build a chapter. And that chapter can make a difference for years to come.

We are starting a sewing training program to provide an opportunity for women to learn a skill that can generate income for their families. Students learning sewing and embroidery will focus on producing marketable goods such as aprons, tablecloths, and school uniforms.
With our partners like Pocket Presbyterian Church in Sanford NC and many other NC Church groups, 4 the World has been distributing new clothes to communities throughout Belize and Guatemala for years as well as providing uniforms for sports teams and school uniforms with gifts in kind and funds provided by generous donors in the United States.

Young children have found joy in receiving clothes made especially for them and women will now have a chance to find hope in a sewing machine. Our sewing mission will soon promote women’s empowerment, self-esteem, and self-confidence, and also provide an avenue for friendship and fellowship along the way. For those who are involved in this program from afar, seeing the happy smiling faces of entire villages of children with a new set of clothes can only be eclipsed by seeing young woman and mothers being able to provide for their family’s needs with self-learned skills and ambitions.
You are welcome to donate at any time by visiting www.4theworld.org!
