We are starting a sewing training program to provide an opportunity for women to learn a skill that can generate income for their families. Students learning sewing and embroidery will focus on producing marketable goods such as aprons, tablecloths, and school uniforms.
With our partners like Pocket Presbyterian Church in Sanford NC and many other NC Church groups, 4 the World has been distributing new clothes to communities throughout Belize and Guatemala for years as well as providing uniforms for sports teams and school uniforms with gifts in kind and funds provided by generous donors in the United States.

Young children have found joy in receiving clothes made especially for them and women will now have a chance to find hope in a sewing machine. Our sewing mission will soon promote women’s empowerment, self-esteem, and self-confidence, and also provide an avenue for friendship and fellowship along the way. For those who are involved in this program from afar, seeing the happy smiling faces of entire villages of children with a new set of clothes can only be eclipsed by seeing young woman and mothers being able to provide for their family’s needs with self-learned skills and ambitions.

It was another great day at Pocket Presbyterian Church in Sanford talking to the sewing club. We had lunch, fellowship and a lot of heartfelt stories. 9 years ago Robert Froom was a guest speaker here and we started a partnership where the club makes clothing and 4 the World volunteers transport and distribute the clothes in remote communities throughout Belize and Guatemala. There is now more than 10 Churches participating in the mission and we have delivered thousands of pounds of clothes to many communities in Central America.

Changing Lives & Building Futures In Rural Communities For 19 Years! 4 the World's volunteers have been building remote schools, providing medical teams, and giving scholarships for hundreds of children or even clothing entire Mayan communities with new clothing are just some of the things we do.
It was nineteen years ago today that several members joined founder Robert Keith Froom in a monumental challenge to make the world a better place with the founding of the nonprofit 4 the World. Our last mission trip delivering fire trucks, ambulances and other emergency vehicles to Guatemala communities was followed by a devastating flood from hurricane Eta that all but destroyed our home base and organization’s headquarters in Belize. Shortly after Hurricane Eta as we made plans to rebuild, we faced economic hardship from Covid 19 pandemic. We now are looking forward to the ending of pandemic restrictions in the US and abroad so we can resume our efforts and continue our mission work in Central America! What sets us apart from other non profits is that we are not in it for the money in fact, we do not have any paid staff. Your donations do not go to paying salaries or payroll and expensive lifestyles. We do not do mass marketing or printed mailouts to fundraise. We just use our donations and volunteers to make things happen.
