Camp Bragg became Fort Bragg.

Established in 1918 as an artillery training camp, the North Carolina post would later become a place generations of paratroopers knew as home.

During World War II, the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions trained there. In the decades that followed, its roads, barracks, training areas, and drop zones became part of countless Airborne soldiers’ stories.

Today’s anniversary reaches back to the post’s early years—before that Airborne legacy began.

For generations who served there, Fort Bragg means far more than a place on a map.

Airborne. All the Way.

Please keep American Legion Post 116 Rider “Hollywood” in your prayers.
He was involved in a serious motorcycle wreck in Apex around 2:30 AM, and the scene was cleared around 6:30 AM.
Hollywood is currently in critical condition, and members of Post 116 are on their way to the hospital to support him and his family.
There are no details yet on what caused the wreck.
Please lift him and his loved ones up during this difficult time.

It is with great sadness we we learned of the passing of life Auxiliary member Cathy Young aka "Chatty Cathy". She was also an American Legion Auxiliary and American Legion Rider. Please keep her daughter, sons snd grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers.
