Instructing and conducting educational and promotional activities which will advance the appreciation of our American musical heritage and culture, including the development of school-based activities and events that will introduce young people to the satisfaction of participating in and listening to the music

Hey friends and fellow guitar lovers! 🎸

If you appreciate rare, historic acoustic instruments, you’ll definitely want to check out the latest episode of The Guitar Porch from my buddy Kenny Smith.

In this episode, Kenny sits down with Gary Smith, who brought in an absolutely stunning piece of history: a 1927 Washburn 5237. This pre-war guitar is incredibly rare, featuring a unique "Sailor's Cap" headstock design that you just don't see anymore. Gary shares some great history on it, and you get to hear the incredible, aged tone locked inside this near century-old instrument.

Kenny is doing fantastic work preserving the stories of these historic guitars, and he could use our support to help grow the channel.
