🚤 Boater Education Makes a Difference! 🛟

This summer, our instructors have educated more than 50 people on the importance of safe boating and proper seamanship!

Our Boater Education course covers essential topics to help make every trip on the water safer, including:

🦺 The importance and proper use of life jackets
⚓ Knowing your boat and making sure it is safe for use
📋 Legal requirements and Texas boating laws
🚨 What to do in a boating emergency
🏄 Safe boating and watersports practices
🌊 Safe operation and responsible boating

The course is required in Texas for anyone born on or after September 1, 1993, who wishes to operate certain vessels on public waterways. Classes are a minimum of six hours and conclude with the USCG/TPWD exam.

With more and more people enjoying our lakes and rivers each year, boating education is an important part of keeping everyone on the water safe.

A big thank-you to our instructors for sharing their knowledge and helping our community become safer, more confident boaters! 🇺🇸

FC Danciu attended the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary (USCG AUX) National Training Conference this month, proudly representing Flotilla 081-05-10 of Lake Ray Hubbard.

During the conference, FC Danciu completed the Auxiliary Mid-Level Officer Course (AMLOC), further developing his leadership skills and strengthening his ability to serve effectively within the USCG Auxiliary.

His participation and continued professional development reflect his commitment to leadership, training, and the mission of Flotilla 081-05-10 and the USCG Auxiliary.

It might be the end of summer, but it's not the end of boating season in North Texas. We still have warm weather in our forecast and that means more time on the water. We have two boater education classes still available this year!

Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified US Coast Guard Auxilliary instructors. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship.
