I’m not looking for personal opinions. It’s either you do it or you don’t. No judgment!
If you are friends with me, you should be aware of my sentiments regarding Veterans so I am bringing it up. I am fairly confident that I already know two individuals who will assist, but I am hopeful that I will receive more responses, as this is a pressing concern. Twenty-two Veterans succumb to their struggles daily. May I request that two friends or family members copy and repost this message? Someone's life may depend on it. ❤️‍🩹

This past weekend, NDC Outdoor Legacy hosted our 4th Annual DD214 Shooter Classic.

People see a shooting competition. What they don’t see are the conversations that happen around the back of a SxS. The hugs between grown men who haven’t seen each other in years. The stories that have been carried for years finally being shared with someone who understands. The laughter that returns after a season of struggle.

Over 35 veterans and first responders came together for a weekend that had very little to do with trophies and everything to do with brotherhood.

The shooting was fun. The competition was fierce. But the real victory happened between events, around dinner tables, in side-by-side rides, and under a Texas sky where men who have carried heavy burdens were reminded they don’t have to carry them alone.

Some of these men arrived exhausted. Some arrived hurting. Some arrived carrying things they never talk about. One of the veterans who attended this weekend is currently battling a devastating diagnosis and the possibility of terminal cancer. After the event, he sent me a message that stopped me in my tracks.

“Hey, I want to thank you. This weekend meant the world to me. After that first night of prayers I stopped hurting the entire weekend. It was unreal, especially with the week I had beforehand.

I felt alive again and normal. My mind was clear, and I slept and ate more than I have in the last month.

That being said, if y’all need help with the SOC or anything else and my doctor schedule allows, I’ll be there.”
God IS So Good!

Read that again.

A man facing one of the hardest battles of his life came to encourage us.

That’s why we do this.

I couldn’t be more proud of our volunteers, our sponsors, and especially the veterans and first responders who showed up and poured into one another all weekend long.

A huge thank you to Group 1 Rockwall Ford, McMillan James Distributors, Enterprise Fleet Management, Genesis AV Crewing, Collier Engineering, Webb Family Farm, Lonestar, and CBG Surveying Texas, and especially the Miller family (Jeff, Ashlee, and Braylin) for allowing us to host on their beautiful Ranch. Last but not least Eric Willis for singing his ass off Friday and Saturday nights to entertain us knuckleheads. Because of your support, weekends like this happen. Because of your generosity, men who have spent their lives serving others get a chance to reset, reconnect, and remember they are not alone.

At NDC Outdoor Legacy, we have a saying:

We’re probably not going to save a life.

But we are going to make a whole lot of lives a whole lot better.

After this weekend, I’m more convinced than ever that’s exactly what happened.

The trophy will sit on a shelf. The scores will be forgotten. But the friendships built, the encouragement given, and the brotherhood strengthened this weekend will last long after the last shot was fired.

And that’s a prize worth fighting for.

Good morning world. God loves you.

Man… my algorithm is on one right now.
Feels like God is dropping messages straight to me.

This one hit me:

“If everybody in the world wrote down their problems and put them in a hat… would you risk grabbing one, or keep yours?”

I needed that.

Because truth is—everybody’s carrying something.

“Each heart knows its own bitterness.” — Proverbs 14:10

We think we want different problems…
until we realize we don’t know what comes with them.

But here’s the shift:

“Give all your worries to God, for He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

You don’t have to trade your problems…
you can hand them over.

God’s doing something in it:

“Suffering produces perseverance… character… hope.” — Romans 5:3–4

So don’t assume someone else has it easier.
They’re just carrying something different.

Keep your faith. Keep your perspective.
God’s not wasting anything

Good morning world. God loves you.

Ever notice how Paul talks about marriage?

He looks at the wives and gives one simple line…

“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.” — Ephesians 5:22

Short. Clear. No follow-up questions.
He just moves on like, “They got it.”

Then he turns to the husbands… and it’s like,
“Alright boys, sit down, grab a notebook… this might take a minute.” 😂

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” — Ephesians 5:25

That’s not “be a good guy.”
That’s “die to yourself daily” kind of love.

And Paul’s still not done…

“He who loves his wife loves himself.” — Ephesians 5:28

In other words, “Hey man… this actually helps you too.” 😂

Still not landing? No problem—he keeps going:

“Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.” — Colossians 3:19

It’s like Paul knew…
the women would hear it once and say, “Got it.”

And us?
We’d be like, “Wait… say that again… but slower.” 😂

Truth is, leading a godly home isn’t about being in charge.
It’s about going first.

First to love.
First to apologize.
First to serve.
First to lay it down.

So yeah… one line for her.
A whole breakdown for us.

Honestly… feels about right.

The stone was rolled away.
The grave couldn’t hold Him.
Death was defeated.

If the tomb is empty… anything is possible.

That thing you’ve been praying about?
That weight you’re carrying?
That situation that feels too far gone?

It’s not over.
