Get to Know Your Soloist, Stefano Brizzi
The Garland Symphony Orchestra invites you to join us for our season finale concert on May 8th at 7:30 pm at the Granville Arts Center for an incredible evening of music featuring Italian piano virtuoso, Stefano Brizzi. The concert’s program features Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, Brizzi’s heartfelt performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor, Op.37, and Saint-Saëns’ Bacchanale from Samson et Dalila. Born in the central Italian town of Fondi, Stefano Brizzi began his study of the piano at the age of seven. Currently a student at the Conservatorio di Musica “Francesco Morlacchi” in Perugia (Italy), he has also studied at the International Academy of Art and Music in Rome.
Sig. Brizzi was awarded the Tucarman Prize at the Verona International Piano Competition (Italy) and was the First Prize winner at the 2025 Musica Italia International Competition in Campobasso (Italy). Despite his youth, he has been acclaimed as a recitalist in Austria, Poland, Hungary, and Spain. His debut in Bucharest was broadcast on the Romanian national television network.
Sig. Brizzi relaxes by enjoying films (particularly those of Martin Scorsese) and working out at the gym. He shares his home with his dog Ciro and his parrot W***y, who whistles an impressive repertoire of melodies by Chopin.
Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring paired with Brizzi’s stunning interpretation of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor, Op.37, and Saint-Saëns’ Bacchanale from Samson et Dalila is a perfect ending to our 2025-2026 season. We hope to see you there!
