Families, child care providers, and community members are invited to a Universal Child Care Town Hall to share their experiences, ask questions, and take part in roundtable discussions.

A spotlight on the CCCN team at the Stronger Together Summit! 💙

On Saturday our Early Childhood Services presenters included:

• Alissa, Director of Early Childhood Services
• Kristy, ECS Manager
• Magliv, Infant Toddler Specialist
• Carolyn, Early Childhood Specialist

Dana, our Director of Health and Nutrition, also presented, bringing her expertise to the day’s learning.

Through sessions on reflective leadership, intentional teaching, and health and nutrition, our team shared ideas and resources to support early childhood professionals in their everyday work.

We’re proud of the preparation, knowledge, and care they brought to their sessions. Thank you to everyone who participated, shared their experiences, and visited our resource tables!

“Good job!” comes naturally. Adding a specific observation tells a child what you noticed. 💙

“You tried another way when the blocks fell.”
“You brought your friend a tissue.”

For child care providers, these everyday moments are opportunities to recognize persistence, kindness, creativity, and problem-solving.

Start with what you see. When a child wants to share more, try asking, “How did you figure that out?” Then give them time to respond.

There’s still time to help! We’re collecting NEW children’s hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves through October 30.

Our Acts of Gratitude coat distribution will take place Saturday, November 7, from 4:30–6:00 PM at Choice For All, 55 Mansfield Avenue, Roosevelt.

“Would you like to join us?” A small invitation can help a child feel welcome. 🧡

This Unity Day, we’re recognizing the everyday ways child care providers teach kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

Model an invitation to play. Offer different ways to participate. Notice when a child makes room for someone else. These moments give children opportunities to practice including and caring for one another.

Save these ideas to try in your program today and throughout the year.
