“New York State: Medicaid notifications and other public programs
In New York, immigration rules and work requirements are changing. However, Bronx residents will be exempt from the work requirements.
New York State Department of Health sent out letters, texts, or WhatsApp messages between September 1 and 4 notifying people if this rule is set to impact them. For some people, the state can confirm eligibility using records it already has. Others will have to send proof when it’s time to renew.”
“…What this means for you: If you are on Medicaid and haven’t heard anything from the state yet, check in. Make sure your address is up to date at https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov/. If you do lose Medicaid coverage, you can check your eligibility for New York’s other programs” at https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov/individual/?lang=en .
