Thanks go out to those who sent us some great gifts recently. We have received food, hay and treats and toys from Dolly's Dream House. Most of the times we don't get a note saying who donating, so we post here to let you know we received these itesm. Thank you so much for helping us to care for our rescued rabbits and guinea pigs.

Yesterday we had 21 rabbits receive their second dose of RHD2 vaccine. We have 3 more scheduled for Friday and are having 5 rabbits spayed and neutered this week as well.
This will add about 20 rabbits to our available list of rabbits. Some of these already have their photos up, but the majority don’t.
If you are looking for a Fuzzy lop check out Einstein, Lionhead look at our gorgeous Casserole, older mini lop Dorothy, Rex mixes Astrid and Hera and the list goes on and on.
Photos will be posted shortly, but if you are a photographer and would like to volunteer your services we would love this. Our main photographer is not available as she spends time with her newborn.
Spays, neuters and vaccinations all cost the rescue thousands of dollars, so if you are able to donate please do.

For Colorado rabbits

The Colorado Rabbit Care Initiative (CRCI) is helping Colorado families access essential veterinary care for the rabbits they love—and community donations make it possible.

We’re grateful to Orchard Veterinary Medical Center for hosting our upcoming rabbit spay and neuter clinic.

Through CRCI funding, owners will pay $75 for a neuter or $125 for a spay.

🐾 Remember Cookie?

This two-year-old rabbit’s family initially believed she had a UTI, but her symptoms have progressed to persistent vaginal bleeding. Cookie urgently needs a spay to help prevent this becoming a life threatening issue.

Her mom is a military spouse who recently lost her job, and her beloved “Bundad” is an active-duty service member preparing for retirement. Thanks to the kindness of donors and our veterinary partners, Cookie will have the opportunity to receive the care she desperately needs while remaining with the family who loves her.

Please keep Cookie and her family in your thoughts as they navigate her medical journey.

Please keep our friends, families and sanctuaries located in the Florida Panhandle and all in the path of this storm in your prayers and good thoughts.
The storm is now a category 3 which can inflict major damage to buildings, fences , poles and of coarse electricity. Many sanctuaries and families rely on generators and with the cost of gasoline this will impact them tremendously.
This storm should not impact us directly except for some more rain on our already saturated grounds.

We understand how difficult rescue can be and know the pain of having your rescues wait for long periods of time. We hope that your plea will be heard and adopters will come forward.

GPA-Gainesville is at a crossroads. Greyhound adoptions for GPAG have slowed way down. We adopted out 4 greyhounds in 2026. Not only are we adopting out less greyhounds, they are taking longer to get adopted. Sometimes we have meet and greet events where not a single potential adopter shows up. Lots of our former adopters come with their hounds and we love seeing them, but few if any potential adopters come meet our adoptable hounds. GPAG is one of the smallest, if not the smallest, adoption group still in business after Florida greyhound racing ended in 2020. Normally at this time we'd be prepping for greyhounds to arrive from Ireland or England once Florida temps cool down. But we only have 1 foster home left. So we won't be getting any more hounds this year. If you live within a 3 hour driving distance of Gainesville, Florida, and only if you are interested in adopting a greyhound within the next year, please respond to this email.

After about five years absence we are now back at Petsmart on the first Sunday of each month.
We are hoping to increase this to every Sunday but will post to let all know. Here at Archer Road till about 4.
