Meet Dolly Roberts, harpist with The Gainesville Orchestra.

Dolly’s love of music started early, growing up in a musical family and beginning harp at just eight years old. Her journey has taken her from early performances in New York—including Carnegie Hall—to a decades-long career performing across Florida.

Over the past 40 years, she’s performed with major orchestras and alongside artists like Tony Bennett, Luciano Pavarotti, and Julie Andrews.

Dolly has been a part of The Gainesville Orchestra for 25 years, serving as Principal Harpist and helping shape the sound of countless performances.

As she retires following this season, we’re grateful for her years on stage and the impact she’s made on our orchestra! 🎻

Last weekend, we proved that boy band bangers hit even harder with a full orchestra behind them. 🙌

Our musicians brought the house down with a night of classic boy band hits that had the whole audience singing and dancing along.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such an unforgettable evening. You were the best crowd we could ask for! 🫶
