We recently took in a NOT collie. She was found wandering in North Alachua County with a collar that had grown into her neck. She is a sweetheart and is well on her way to recovery. She is only about 2 years old. weighs 50 lbs and is altered. We think she has Siberian Husky in her. We'd like to find her a new furever home ASAP so she can continue to heal in a quiet situation. Please let me know ASAP if you'd like to meet her.

This morning we lost one of our most precious souls. River was taken in by the rescue in the summer of '23 along with his sister (we believe..) BoDiddley. River suffered from Lupus and eventually developed an aggressive cancer of the mouth. He was adopted by Angela who provided him with an awesome additional year and a half. We were never sure how old he was between 5 and 9 years old. We wish we had this wonderfully sweet and loving blue headed white collie longer, but he was called home today. RIP sweet River.

Thank goodness we are all OK. Except for a couple of large trees, one of which fell on Debbie's driveway and one which crushed my well house, no other major damage. I got the tree cutter over to clear Deb's driveway so she could check on her parents and to cut the tree off my well house. The pump is undamaged. All the dogs are OK. When I chose the 'cottages' I made sure that they had a high wind rating....just in case. Deb's parents are OK. Thank you everyone. If there any collie folk here in Florida in need of help..... please let me know

OH MY GOSH.... HERE WE GO AGAIN!! I HAVEN'T PICKED UP ALL THE DEBRIS FROM HELENA AND NOW WE HAVE MILTON TO LOOK FORWARD TO!! I truly hope that everyone in or near the path of Milton will stay safe. So if you're near the coast, PLEASE.... go somewhere else! Both Debbie(who runs the rescue facility up here) and I are survivors of Hurricane Andrew back in '92. Storms like this give us PTSD. thank you everyone. I'm hoping that we are far enough north and east that we will be OK. I fear for Judy (the CollieHouse Inn) because she is in the heart of St Petersburg. And all those on the I4 corridor. I begged her to come up but she has family that needs to stay there. I have a lot of acreage if anyone wants to park their RV or even cars here. I have a standby generator so losing power is not an issue.

8/30/24 LOST in PINELLAS PARK: She was lost from the vicinity of Park Blvd and 53rd street N (near 49th St) Lost dog, her name is sweet pea, she is a 10 month old white collie with tri head (black and brown) markings. My mom just got her from out of state 2 days ago and she jumped out her bedroom window and ran away. She is wearing a harness, and is scared. This poor girl is from a rural area in Virginia and has no idea where home is. -April Apple Wardlow

Hi Everyone,
Thank you everyone who offered suggestions for Sam and Tanners vacation week. Moni, his foster mom found friends locally who can foster. The boys are making wonderful progress and will be available for adoption soon.

UPDATE 5-29

Hi Everyone,
SAM and TANNER are doing great in their foster home with MoNi.They have gained weight and love to run and play with her other collie. They are currently near Sebring.
BUT WE HAVE A SMALL EMERGENCY.
MoNi has a very special event that will take her out of town for one week. We need to find a temporary foster by Friday... better tomorrow. Judy was going to take them but she is a bit under the weather. I can take them here at the Ranch but I will be gone all day Friday and part of tomorrow.
Is there someone out there that can take them in for one week. They are fully vaccinated and are easy keepers....being 8 and 9.
If you can do it, please contact me via text 305-812-4414 or [email protected]

We need to move Tanner and Sam ASAP. They are wonderful and loved, but other needs arose for their foster family. Debbie and I can go up as far as Live oak or maybe even Valdosta, but They are in Jonesboro. GA If you can help move this awesome pair, please let me know ASAP.... [email protected]
We have a great new foster for them here in FL

We have a small emergency. Sam and Tanner, 2 wonderful bonded seniors, both still having a ton of living to do, for some unexplainable reason have yet found their furever home. Theuy are fully vetted and the rescue will continue to financially support their needs. They have been with one of our awesome followers for too many months and now, due to a family medical emergency, she will no longer be able to foster them. They were the furbabies of Georgia's former collie rescue person who passed away several years ago. They are located in central Georgia but we can get them anywhere. I can take them down here at the Ranch if needed, but we feel these sweet mature gentlemen would not due well with the rescue too often commotion. If you can take them in until we find a more permanent situation, olease let me know ASAP... felicia [email protected]
