💜 A Heartfelt Thank You from Hike Kidz Foundation 💜

Hike Kidz Foundation would like to extend our sincere gratitude to VFW Post 1860 for hosting a food drive to benefit the families we serve.

Food insecurity remains one of the biggest barriers facing many families in our community. Our Community Resource Advocate, Robin Russell, regularly receives crisis calls from families struggling to put food on the table, making donations like these incredibly meaningful.

We would also like to thank Jeff, Mike, Geoffrey, and Andrea for organizing and leading such an amazing drive. In addition to the generous food donations, several individuals also contributed cash donations, which will help us continue supporting families in need.

To everyone who donated, volunteered, and showed their support—thank you for your generosity, compassion, and commitment to helping our neighbors. Together, we are making a difference, one family at a time.

A Quick Note from Our Team

Our community is facing challenges that affect all of us, and we recognize the seriousness of the times we are living in. The purpose of our event has always been simple: to bring people together, raise funds for children in need, and create a little joy while doing something meaningful.

We are incredibly grateful to every local leader, public servant, business owner, volunteer, and community member who has stepped forward to support this cause. It takes courage to participate, especially in a public way, and their willingness to help raise awareness and funds for local children deserves our respect and appreciation.

At the end of the day, we are all on the same team. We all want the best for our community and for the children and families who benefit from this event.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support, encourage, and believe in the mission. Together, we can make a difference where it matters most.

While circumstances sometimes change, our appreciation for those who were willing to step outside their comfort zones and support our children never will. Their commitment to this cause has not gone unnoticed, and we remain thankful for every person who has chosen to stand with us in service of our community.

Thank you to Warrior Psychotherapy Services for helping our veteran's and our local children in need! This match donation will help Ryan Rutherford get closer to giving that car away! Once he hits $4,000 we will have our second car to give away with Cars Changing Lives at the Disco!

Why does what we do work?Because we chose to stay local.

We see the change. We know the families. We understand the lifelong impact of not having what you need to feel equal, prepared, and confident.

This organization built trust because we stand by our word — and this community showed up to close the gap for local children together.

Every volunteer, every donor, every supporter is part of changing lives right here at home.

We wish we could share every story, every moment, every life that shifted because someone cared.

For those in need of food. The blessing fridge/box at St. Luke’s was filled yesterday and below is a resource as well ❤️

~I wanted to share some information about the "Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry" at 613 North Royal Avenue here in Front Royal. I stopped by and Tina Bearden was gracious enough to sit and chat with me for a bit. She gave me some information on the services provided to our community and also what they are doing for the Blessing Boxes in our area.

Just want to thank the founder and executive director of Boxes of Basics, Sarah Tyndall (on right). She started the Virginia-based nonprofit in 2018 from her basement. The organization provides children experiencing clothing insecurity with carefully curated, seasonally appropriate wardrobes delivered directly in customized gift boxes. She never gave up. She had a dream. To help children feel better about themselves. To feel prepared.

Boxes of Basics has delivered hundreds of these wardrobes to Warren County children.

Part of the proceeds from the Dueling Disco will help donate towards providing hundreds of back to school local elementary students in need with boxes.

We work with the Warren County Public Schools and Boxes of Basics to make this happen.

The change is real. What we do together is making a difference.
