Unity for a Better Tomorrow We are dedicated to the holistic socioeconomic growth in SEA. Education and school construction is our main focus.

A FOR PURPOSE organization creating learning environments in SEA through school construction, educational supplies, and curriculum intervention. We want to make education accessible to children in SEA. We want to give them an opportunity to reach their full potential as productive citizens. As Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.....A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special." Through joint ventures, A Hopeful Encounter, Inc will also mobilize 'Teams of Change' or groups of volunteers into SEA with life changing projects. Each volunteer has their own special gift and ability to transform lives. At A Hopeful Encounter, Inc., we believe that no gift is too small to go unnoticed. Everything we do, will impact the life of a child, a family, a community, and the world.

Sometimes, the best thing we can do is slow down, enjoy the small moments, and give ourselves the same love and kindness we so freely give to others.

Today, for self- care, our team member, Tata is filling her cup by being outdoors in nature and enjoying the refreshing view at Yosemite National Park, as fall sets in.

At A Hopeful Encounter, self-care is built into our work culture. The wellness of our team ensures quality service to our community.

Today, our Mental Health Specialist, shares a poem and how he practices self-care through recreation and connection.

Today, I give myself permission to pause,
To breathe a little deeper,
To quiet the noise,
To simply be.

Rest is not wasted time.
Healing isn't always doing.
Sometimes, wellness is choosing
To slow down, recharge, and begin again.
