PFLAG Fresno is a local chapter of a wider national organization focusing on providing support, education, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ people.

We aim to make Fresno safer and more welcoming for all. Join us on the 2nd Sunday of each month for our meetings. PFLAG Fresno meets both in-person at Wesley United Methodist and on Zoom on the second Sunday of each month from 2 'til 4pm. We also do community outreach in the form of informational tabling, literature distribution, and speaker events. Our aim is to make Fresno a better and safer place for our LGBTQ+ community.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️Coming out is rarely easy. It can mean risking rejection, discrimination, or losing the support of people you love.

Today, we honor those who have come out, those who are still finding the words, and those who are waiting for a safer time, or choosing not to come out at all.

Coming out is personal. There is no deadline and no right way to do it. Everyone deserves to decide when, how, and with whom they share their story.

To our LGBTQ+ community: You are worthy of love, respect, and belonging exactly as you are. 💙

To families, friends, and allies: Let the people in your life know that your love is unconditional. Create spaces where everyone can feel safe being themselves.

At PFLAG Fresno, you are not alone. 🌈

Enjoy a FREE meal and activity with us on Monday, October 26th. We will be serving Sub sandwiches, chips and fruit while we set good intentions for the season. You’ll leave with a full stomach and your very own blend of ingredients to simmer on your stove.

🗣️ Sunday, October 11th 2-4pm: Monthly Community meetup, at the Fireside Room of Wesley UMC, 1343 E Barstow 🧘🏽‍♂️ Tuesday, October 13th and 27th, 6-7pm: Yoga class by Juli Hope at the Q***r Collective community center, 3034 Tulare St. 🧶. Wednesday, October 14th 6-7pm: Yarn & Fiber Arts Group at the Q***r Collective community center. 📖 Monday, October 19th 6-8pm: Allies Book Club at the Q***r Collective community center. 🍽️ Monday, October 26th, 5:30 - 7:30pm: Family Dinner and Activity Night at the Q***r Collective (we love families of all sizes and makeups, chosen or blood. If you’re solo, come be a part of our PFLAG FAMILY). 📚Saturday, October 24th, 3-5pm- Little Q***r Book Club at the Q***r Collective community center.

We had such a great turnout for our very first PFLAG Fresno family dinner and we hope we see all of your wonderful faces again. We will be serving Mexican food this month so come hungry. Be sure to bring a friend, share it on social media or tell someone you know that could use a built in family! Postcards will be on hand to write those courageous banned authors and we will also be decorating a library tote to hold all of those banned books we can check out and read from our library at the Q***r Collective or our local Fresno Library. All food and activities are completely free.

Sixteen PFLAG chapters will all be in one room on October 10th. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

The Mid-Pacific Regional Summit is a full day at Skyline College in San Bruno about turning the love we hold for our people into the action our region needs. Chapter leaders and partner organizations are running sessions on:

→ Chapter safety planning
→ Speaking up in local school districts
→ Growing a chapter that reflects its community
→ State legislative advocacy and what’s working in 2026
→ LGBTQ+ mental health, with the Yale LGBTQ Mental Health Initiative
→ Standing up for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, with the LGBT Asylum Project

🧘‍♀️ September Yoga at the Q***r Collective! 🌈

Need a little time to breathe, move, and reconnect with yourself? 💛

Join us for free, queer-focused, trauma-informed yoga at the Q***r Collective Community Center!

This gentle, invitational practice centers safety, bodily autonomy, and choice. There’s no “perfect” way to participate—just come as you are. Movements can be adapted to your needs, including chair-based options.

Whether you’re brand new to yoga or already have a practice, you’re welcome here. 🏳️‍🌈
