Agami Agami is a US-registered non-profit , dedicated to promote basic education for the underprivileged. Agami Inc is an action group, founded in July 2003.

The idea of Agami Inc was first born in early 1992. It was formed in response to the natural disasters afflicting Bangladesh. Over the next two years, the focus of its emphasis very clearly shifted to education. In early 2003, a few committed volunteers rallied about the Agami vision and started to make things happen.

A team member of the Agami School Program recently visited Kalapani Non-Govt. Primary School in Khagrachhari to assess the impact that Agami has created in the community over the past five years. Through student surveys and Focus Group Discussions with teachers and parents, we gathered both data and lived experiences.

What stood out most was the students’ enthusiasm for learning and the community’s reflections on their journey. These experiences reaffirm that sustainable educational support is about more than numbers - it is about creating meaningful and lasting opportunities.

Improving English Teaching (IET) recently conducted a comprehensive field visit to two partner schools in Netrokona, laying the groundwork for sustainable English-learning opportunities. The visit engaged English teachers as well as local Reading Mentors and the key activities included:
• Two Teachers’ Workshops
• One Volunteers’/Reading Mentors’ Workshop
• Establishment of a digital monitoring and evaluation framework for the Reading Program
• Establishment of IET English Clubs and libraries at both schools
• Distribution of English storybooks
• Two classroom observations to assess teachers’ needs and inform upcoming training opportunities
Through these initiatives, IET continues to ensure joyful, structured, and sustainable English learning for all.

The Teachers' Training Program has successfully concluded a two-day training on "Science Project Preparation" from 31st July-1st August 2026, bringing together 14 teachers from 14 Agami-supported schools.

During the training, participants explored inquiry-based science teaching approaches, including the Investigation Method, 5E Model, and POE Model. On the second day, they collaboratively designed four science projects and presented live demonstrations, applying their learning in practice.

Together, we continue to empower teachers to make science learning more engaging, hands-on, and meaningful for every student.
