🌿May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

When we think about domestic violence, we often focus on physical safety but the impact reaches far beyond what we can see.

Domestic violence and mental health are deeply interconnected. Survivors often carry the emotional and psychological effects of abuse long after the immediate harm has ended. At the same time, conversations about prevention require us to understand the roles of trauma, emotional wellbeing, accountability, and healthy relationships.

We invite our community to move beyond awareness and toward understanding.

Let's create spaces where survivors are believed, healing is supported, mental health is prioritized, and accountability is part of the conversation.

Swipe through to learn more about the intersection of mental health and domestic violence.

💜 Healing is not just about surviving. It's about reclaiming safety, dignity, and hope.

Sunnyvale Theatre

550 E Re*****on Dr, Sunnyvale, CA 94087

In a middle-class Bay Area home, Naina and Tarun look like the model Indian-American couple - good kids, a hard-won startup, Diwali around the corner. But a surprise visitor and a single act of desperation crack open the life they’ve built, exposing the bargains behind love, marriage and honor.

This contemporary Indian-American adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s 1879 play of the same name, is funny, sharp and quietly explosive - a play about money and power, devotion and control, and what it costs to become your own person.

Today Narika participated in Policy Advocacy Day and met with California legislators to advocate for critical VOCA funding for survivors.

Thanks to all the advocates, elected officials, supporters and most importantly- survivors -who showed up today!

May 5th is also the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), designated to honor victims, unite in solidarity, and raise awareness of the disproportionate violence faced by Native communities. The day began with a powerful rally affirming this history and rights of indigenous folks and continued on with conversations to stabilize support for survivors.
