HERS is proud to donate furniture from our former Pleasanton location to OneChild, a Fremont-based nonprofit supporting underserved children throughout the Bay Area.

Founded by Bernadette Dutra, OneChild provides children with new clothing and school supplies, helping them feel confident and ready to learn. Weโ€™re honored that furniture once used to support our patients will now have a new purpose supporting OneChildโ€™s important work.

This connection is especially meaningful to HERS. For 26 years, Dutra Enterprises purchased and cooked thousands of hot dogs and hamburgers for participants at our annual Walk/Run fundraiser and generously sponsored our events. While Dutra Enterprises is disbanding and wonโ€™t be able to cook at this yearโ€™s Walk/Run, we are incredibly grateful for nearly THREE DECADES of friendship, generosity, and support. โค๏ธ

A special thank you to HERS volunteer website administrator Lisa Stambaugh for connecting us with OneChild and helping make this wonderful gift possible!

We look forward to celebrating with OneChild at their Grand Re-Opening in September and seeing all the wonderful things ahead. ๐Ÿ’•

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation is proud to share the Washington Health Foundation's 40th Annual Top Hat Gala, a Ruby Anniversary celebration honoring four decades of philanthropy, innovation, and exceptional health care in the Tri-City community.

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, guests will gather at Washington West for an unforgettable evening featuring an exquisite dinner, signature cocktails, live entertainment, and dancing under the stars.

This yearโ€™s gala will support an incredible vision for the future of health care: bringing a state-of-the-art neurosurgical robotic platform to the Tri-City area in partnership with UCSF Healthโ€™s Bell Neurosciences Institute. This groundbreaking technology will help transform spinal and cranial care for generations to come.

More than a fundraiser, the Top Hat Gala is a celebration of the people who have made 40 years of hope, healing, and progress possible. HERS is honored to promote community partners like Washington Health Foundation who are dedicated to improving lives through compassion, innovation, and care.
