Happy Labor Day Weekend, FTLL! 🇺🇸⚾

The unofficial end of summer is here.

The days are getting a little shorter. The first crisp nights aren’t far away. School is starting, the leaves will soon begin to turn, and before we know it, the lights at the fields will be glowing against that cool fall sky.

And that means one thing around here…

Fall Ball is almost here. 🍂⚾

A new season. New teams. New teammates. Another chance to learn the game, make some memories, and spend a few more nights at the ballpark.

Enjoy the long weekend, FTLL families.

Well… apparently Mother Nature and FTLL parades are just not meant to be this summer.

Unfortunately, with the impending weather forecast for this evening, we have made the difficult decision to CANCEL tonight’s Parade of Champions, Senior Send-Off and Movie Night.

After multiple attempts this summer to bring everyone together for celebrations and send-offs, Mother Nature continues to have other plans for us. While we are incredibly disappointed, the safety of our players, families and volunteers has to come first.

We know everyone’s schedules are busy, and we truly appreciate everyone who planned to join us tonight — especially our players, coaches and families who were ready to come back to the fields one more time to celebrate an incredible summer of FTLL baseball and softball.

Regardless of whether we ever managed to get everyone together for a parade, there is certainly no shortage of accomplishments worth celebrating. We are incredibly proud of every one of our All-Star teams and everything they accomplished while representing Freehold Township this summer.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility and continued support — and perhaps next year we’ll plan the parade indoors. 😉

We have two very special events happening this week, and we’re asking our FTLL families to come out, show up for our players and help make both nights unforgettable!

⭐ MONDAY, AUGUST 31 — CHALLENGER ALL-STAR GAME at ShoreTown Ballpark — Home of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws ⭐

Gates Open: 5:15 PM | Game: 6:00 PM

Our Freehold Challenger All-Stars take on the Manalapan Challenger All-Stars on the big field!

For those who may not be familiar with Challenger, the Little League Challenger Division is an adaptive baseball program for children and young adults with physical and developmental disabilities. It gives these athletes the opportunity to experience everything we love about Little League—wearing the uniform, being part of a team, taking the field and hearing a crowd cheer them on. ❤️

And that’s where our FTLL community comes in - Bring the kids. Wear your FTLL gear. Fill the stands and GET LOUD!

These athletes deserve the same All-Star atmosphere, excitement and community support we give all of our FTLL players. We want them to look into the stands Monday night and see more than their own families—we want them to see their entire Little League community there to celebrate them.

There’s no admission fee and no ticket required. All we’re asking you to do is SHOW UP & CHEER! ❤️⚾💙

***Concessions will NOT be open, but you may bring drinks and snacks in bags. No spectator coolers and no alcohol permitted. Bathrooms will be open.

We’ll celebrate our All-Star teams, recognize our Senior players as they prepare to say goodbye to Little League, and finish the night together with a movie at the fields.

Whether your player participated in All-Stars this summer or not, these nights are for ALL of FTLL.

Two nights. Two very special celebrations. Two chances to show our players what it means to have the FTLL community behind them.

In the final game of the tournament Austin Sweeney of New Jersey had his smoother than a fresh scoop moment to lead New Jersey to the 2026 Junior League East Region Championship and the chance to go to the World Series in Taylor, MI. Austin was 3 for 3 with 2-Doubles, RBI, and 3 runs scored in their 9-8 victory over Delaware.

In the championship match, New Jersey's Smoother-Than-A-Fresh-Scoop Player of the Game was Jonathan Kim, who went 2 for 3 with a homer, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored, leading to a decisive Game 2 against Delaware!

In their second game of the day, New Jersey's Tyler Chang threw 95 pitches allowing 2 hits, 5 walks, and striking out 2. Tyler was 1 for 2; walked twice, single, 2 RBI's, 2 stolen bases, and 2 runs scored.

New Jersey's James Calamia pitched 6 and 1/3rd inning striking out 4 and allowing 4 hits but no runs to keep their tournament championship hopes alive.

In their elimination game, Evan Umansky of New Jersey stepped up to the plate. Evan was 3 for 3, 2 RBI's, 1 run scored, 2 Doubles, and a single. Smoother-Than-A-Fresh-Scoop batting performance.

Tomorrow, Sunday, August 16, begins our final week of registration!

Registration will remain open until Sunday, August 23 at 11:00 AM. After that, all registrations will move to the waitlist.

Join us at 9:00 AM at the MJT snack stand for our final clinic! Unfortunately, we can't hold it at Dick’s House of Sport, so we’ll be using our own facilities and focusing on hitting, throwing, and fielding fundamentals.

📣 T-BALL COACHES NEEDED!
We need additional head coaches for T-ball. If you're willing to step up, please reach out! Adding another coach could allow us to create another team and get more kids off the waitlist and onto the field. We’ll provide support—you don’t need to be a baseball expert!
