⚾️ FTLL Family: Let’s Show Our Support for Xavier Tonight! ⚾️

​The baseball community doesn't have borders. When a player is hurting, we all step up to the plate.
​Right now, a young ballplayer named Xavier is battling to recover from a freak accident on the baseball field. While he isn't from Freehold, he is a part of our extended baseball family, and we want to show him and his loved ones that the entire region is standing right there with them.
​Tonight, Sunday, May 31, FTLL is joining the "Bats Out for X" movement, and we need your help to send a massive wave of support their way.
​🪵 How to Participate Tonight:
​Step 1: Place a baseball or softball bat out on your front porch or doorstep before dark.
​Step 2: Turn your porch light on to keep it illuminated through the night.
​Step 3: Snap a picture of your porch! 📸

Baseball players and umpires grow out of the same dirt.

The teenager holding the clicker today was, not long ago, the kid on the bench questioning every close call. Then one day, they put on the gear, stepped behind the plate, and saw the game from a different perspective—a whole new way to grind.

Being a Junior Umpire is about more than calling balls and strikes. It's about confidence, responsibility, and learning to make decisions under pressure.

Some will do it for a season. Others may carry it through high school, college, and beyond.

After all, every Major League umpire started with dirt on their cleats and a love for the game.

It's May 30, and for most divisions, the playoffs begin on Monday, June 1.
There is a certain crispness in the air as we close out the regular season the way it was meant to end—on the field. Every pitch, every hit, every catch, and every game has led to this moment.
For some teams, the playoffs represent a chance to chase a championship. For others, it's one more opportunity to put on the uniform, take the field with friends, and make a few more memories before the summer begins.
No matter what happens over the next few weeks, we hope our players remember the excitement, the growth, the lessons learned, and the simple joy of playing baseball and softball under the lights.
Good luck to all of our teams as the postseason begins.

Only 3 days until FTLL’s FIRST EVER MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Skills event. There is still time to register your player!

Participants complete in a series of baseball/softball skills challenges, with the opportunity to advance through additional rounds all the way to the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Finals held during the MLB World Series.

When: Sunday May 31st
Time: Opening ceremony 12:30pm
Where: FTLL

This event is FREE and is open to both boys and girls born between 11/15/2013 and 11/15/2019.

As we enter the final week of the season, there is a lot happening at FTLL—Picture Day, Home Run Derby, Pitch, Hit & Run, playoffs, district preparations, and even planning for the fall season.

With so much going on, mistakes can happen as our volunteer army works through countless details behind the scenes.

For the things that go great, we hope those are the moments you remember. For the things that need improvement, we appreciate the feedback and will always try to make them right. And for the few things we cannot fix, we sincerely apologize.

Through it all, our focus remains the same: giving our kids a great Little League experience.
