Today, we reflect on his unwavering commitment to justice, unity, and the power of community. May his vision continue to inspire us to serve, uplift, and stand together in the spirit of hope and equality.

As we approach the last day of Kwanzaa, let's pause for a moment of reflection.
The Seven Principles - Umoja, Kujichagulia, Ujima, Ujamma, Nia, Kuumba, and Imani are more than a week-long celebration. They are a blueprint for how we uplift ourselves and each other every single day.
As this year comes to a close, let's carry the teachings forward:
* Unity in our relationships
* Self-determination in our choices
* Collective work in our communities
* Cooperative economics in how we support one another
* Purpose in the way we move through the world
* Creativity in how we build and express ourselves
* Faith in our future and in each other
Kwanzaa may be ending, but the work, and the joy of living these principles continues.

Art has long been the language of resistance, truth-telling, and healing. It gives form to emotions too vast for words, it transforms lived pain into a message that won't be ignored.
Even when we have an opportunity to get away justice is still not on our side in most cases and the shot from behind is a direct correlation to what police do to us and say they were threatened.
