Meet Shaelene Dedrick, who is studying Nursing at LeMoyne College. Since she’s worked part time through school, she’s also the queen of balancing a busy schedule! 🗓️

☀️ Good morning, everyone! We’re starting the week with our first scholarship feature! 🤩

Meet Isabelle Burroughs, who is studying Childhood and Special Education at the University of Albany. She will also be competing as part of their D1 track team! 🏃‍♀️

“Receiving this scholarship is going to make a huge difference during my first year of college. Starting college is an exciting moment, but it is also going to come with new responsibilities and challenges. Scholarships like this are going to allow me to focus on being a student-athlete. As a future member of my college track team, I’m going to spend many hours at practices, workouts, competitions, and team meetings. Opportunities like this will allow me to not have to worry about working long hours or constantly thinking about how I will pay back student loans. Instead, I can direct my energy to earning good grades, improving as an athlete, and adjusting to college life. Receiving this scholarship is more than just financial assistance- it’s an investment in my future. It is going to help make my first year of college less stressful and allow me to focus on achieving my academic and athletic goals. I am incredibly grateful for the generosity.” - Isabelle

This week, Bill Cole of Cole's Woodwind Shop and his student apprentice, Caidinn, joined us at The HUB to assess and catalog instruments that will soon be refurbished and placed into the hands of students across the North Country.
