Smile because it happened 🙂

Moments are fleeting but memories last forever. Thank you to the 2022-23 Patriot hockey team for providing all of us with memories that we will never forget. This season was extremely successful, with a 10-8-2 final record yielding appearances in both the Shore Conference and state tournaments. Through all the ups and downs, the joy that this team played with and the competitiveness that they exhibited every game were a pleasure to witness. Thank you to our three incredible seniors and captains, Michael Craft, Jake Butler, and Peyton Liebross. Your impact on the program was profound and we are rooting for you wherever life takes you. A special shoutout to the amazing fans of Patriot Nation for their constant support and encouragement. And, of course, a huge thanks to the entire coaching staff and all the managers, especially our head coach, Coach Fahy, for all of their hard work. The saying may sound corny but it's true, "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

Senior Night Snapshots 🌟

Thank you to all of our seniors for their leadership, dedication, and hard work over the last four years. We appreciate all you have done for FTHS hockey and wish you the best of luck next year and beyond. Last, but certainly not least, is #13 Michael Craft! A superb scorer and auspicious attacker, Michael is a two year varsity captain, a four year varsity starter, a two time Shore Conference All Star, and was ranked as the #8 senior in New Jersey. Michael excels in school and is a member of National Honor Society and has made the Principal’s Honor Roll. Michael’s incredible ability and winning mentality consistently fire the Patriots to victory and we wish him a bright post-FTHS future.

Next up is #22 Jake Butler! A determined defenseman and laudable leader, Jake is a two year varsity captain, a 2022-23 Shore Conference All Star, the January 2023 Shore Conference Defensive Player of the Week, and the January 2021 FTHS Athlete of the Month. Outside of hockey, he is a Jr. Captain Firefighter @16-1, a member of National Honor Society, a Peer Leader, won a silver medal at the 2022 Maccabi Games, and cofounded Seniors for Seniors. Jake’s energy and hard work are exemplary and we wish him much success in the future.

First up is #21 Peyton Liebross! A confident captain and fearless forward, Peyton is the first female to play varsity hockey all 4 years at FTHS, the first female to be named captain, and has the most points by a female hockey player for Township. At FTHS, she is a member of the Superintendent’s Executive Board and National Honor Society, is a Peer Leader, and has made the Principal’s Honor Roll. Peyton’s dedication, positivity, and leadership are key to the Patriots’ success and we wish her the best of luck beyond Township.
