Whether you’re a dabbler or seasoned artist, don’t miss this opportunity.

AI overview: Mary Caruso-Albert is a contemporary watercolor painter from Freehold, New Jersey. She is regarded locally as one of the town’s most recognizable artists.

Her style is warm, representational and civic. She paints the architecture, streets, and everyday character of Freehold, along with New Jersey historical sites, landscapes, and Jersey Shore scenes. She has said Freehold’s buildings and history drew her to watercolor: once she began working in the medium, painting the town’s interesting structures felt like a natural next step.

A well-known example is Restaurant Row, one of many Freehold-focused paintings shown in a 2020 solo exhibition at Freehold Art Gallery. That show was framed as telling “the story of today’s Freehold.” Prints and notecards of her work have been sold through the gallery.

She also does commissioned pieces she calls “Memories”—paintings of homes, children, and vacation spots. She has described these as her favorite work because they give people a lasting personal record of places and moments that matter to them.

This will be a fun workshop. It’s free! Hope you can make it. Please RSVP by Sept 20 to: FreeholdArtSociety60@gmail.com...
