Each year, the 200 Club of Monmouth County’s Valor Awards reminds us of the extraordinary courage, dedication, and sacrifice demonstrated by our region’s first responders.

We were honored to celebrate the police officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, dispatchers, and public safety personnel who go above and beyond in service to our communities. Their actions embody the very best of public service and exemplify what it means to answer the call when others need help most.

Congratulations to all of this year’s Valor Award recipients, and thank you to every first responder who works tirelessly to keep our communities safe. We are proud to support those who serve and protect us every day.

Kudos Howell PD!

Have you noticed our “Did You Know” PSA’s regarding youth va**ng and teen smoking? They have been posted on our Facebook and message boards around town, and are part of our mission to end substance abuse with our youth.

Leading this initiative is our very own Corporal Jayme Higgins, who not only serves as a School Resource Officer and L.E.A.D. Instructor (a former National Instructor of the Year recipient!), he now serves as our Community Prevention Officer. This prestigious program within L.E.A.D. is a small collection of officers nationwide striving to combat substance abuse and violence through education, engagement and empowerment, rather than just enforcement.

Pictured here is Corporal Higgins presenting his strategic plan at the National L.E.A.D. Conference in Atlantic City.

We are so proud of the work all of our School Resource Officers do every day, but especially proud of the work Corporal Higgins has done within this program.

Keep up the great work!
