The Open Door Recovery Center of Monmouth County is a recovery community that uses peer-support approaches in a safe and inclusive environment to foster wellness and provide resources to all persons in recovery from problematic substance use. (PR), was awarded a grant through the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to open up a peer recovery support center in Monmouth County, locate

d at Oceans Family Success Center in Asbury Park. The Open Door Recovery Center of Monmouth County is designed as a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment, where attendees are given the opportunity to identify their specific recovery-oriented goals and receive peer-based support. We provide opportunities for social networking, substance-free activities, peer-support groups, educational sessions, and linkage to further services. The Recovery Center is based out of PR’s Oceans Family Success Center (FSC), meaning all attendees have access to any of the social services and resources available through their agency. Prevention Resources, Inc. (PR) is the longest-standing prevention agency in Hunterdon County, NJ. Since 1971, we have cultivated healthy and drug-free communities by providing evidence-based programs and counseling, as well as engaging in policy advocacy and collaborative work.
